Let's not go overboard on Tequila. It wasn't that long ago (a year?) that BearGreg was looking for someone to moderate this board, so you can't blame Tequila for everyone that was banned in the past. I'd be surprised if BearGreg wasn't the one making the final decision after Tequila suggested it.

I'm with you. I found Cal Strong annoying but harmless. I can't recall him ever saying anything that would even get him warned, much less banned.

His schtick was annoying but sometimes he abandoned of his own writing style when he wanted to get a point across about a game or the coaching. There should be a period of Jubilee where previously banned posters like CalStrong get to come back. A lifetime ban is over the top.

Anyone who got banned did it the old-fashioned way: they earned it. One banned poster who is mentioned in this thread had over 275 separate moderation activities, including over 25 instances of being warned and given timeouts. Anyone else who got banned during my tenure as Moderator was similarly situated.

Instead of worrying about the fairness of Moderation, the offense of permanently banning someone, how Moderation works, etc.. I suggest everyone focus on the 1st paragraph of my 1st post:

• Re-read the board rules
• Re-read Greg's pinned message about shutting down the board
• Going forward lean into the Flag system to get Moderation attention to inappropriate behavior.

That this board is moderated by somebody I have on block for supporting fascists is perfect. I dont think he ever moderated me except to delete a couple of posts that Charlie Kirk was a groomer. A few days later he let it stand (or missed it).

I have received 2 timeouts. One in 2016 for calling Trump a racist. One a year or two later for describing gay sex. Beargreg did warn me to stop it when I was calling htp she/her which was strange because htp told me she was transitioning to female. Seeing a grown up reduced to private online threats of physical violence over being called she/her was pretty hilarious though. What fragile masculinity. Good times, good times.

Aunbear was the best poster on this board. The only one who truly saw and spoke the truth.
