Mahdahmi would kick Spanberger's ass in NYC and she would kick his ass in VA . Neither is a national figure though she by virtue of not being NYC mayor is more poised to be one. NYC mayor has zero to do with the future of anything .

Socialism, or at least a hybrid version combining state policies with market forces, has been working very well in China, and pretty well in social democracies across Europe in terms of managing healthcare, education, public transport, infrastructure, utilities etc.

Maher used outdated midbrow arguments about how socialism doesn't work by using the night picture of the two Koreas side by side which shows that N Korea is in the dark, but this is the real picture today:



In the years to come, we're going to have regular rolling brownouts and spiraling electricity rates due to the power grid not keeping up with demand from AI data centers.

AI is going to figure out how to use our dead bodies to power data centers. When those are used up, AI will figure something else out. They will also figure out how to find Musk and Bezos, regardless of what cave in the galaxy they are hiding in.

Living bodies are more productive than dead bodies. Haven't you seen The Matrix, (what I tell my kids is a documentary of the future).

Bill Maher is neither funny nor smart and the forced laughter he forces on his live audience is the cringiest thing on tv.

Mikie Sherrill is smarter than Mamdani or Spanberger. She got elected without saying anything.
