I would guess the 2020 polls did not take into account independent voters who don't usually turn out but did come out against the establishment candidate, which back then was Biden/Democrat. Platner is the anti-establishment guy with the upside now.

His endorsement for Governor is another progressive labor guy. Worked 80 hrs chopping wood to make ends meet. From Allagash. Fine beer. I'm not sure Mills support for machine candidate Pingree is helpful.
The Maine Dr Shah (Maine CDC and Covid fame)
supposedly leads the polls which is surprising because he was the face of the Covid policy which had major detractors here and again he has Mills stink on him that won't play well with many.

The Red Sox have zero hitting, that's their problem. Not PE. They spend plenty of money but failed to land a right handed hitter. The GM is orchestrating a metric-driven strategy that isn't working. Pitching is solid with Sonny Gray the fomer A doing well and defense is fine but that can't hit. Is PE destroying baseball? Not really, teams like the A's and Giants can fail sans PE just as well.

not really, there aren't any black people here and the ones that are have no idea who any of those people are except maybe Harris.

Went to a boxing match a few months ago in Portland. The only black guy in the arena was a fighter. It was a trip, especially having just spent winter in Oakland.
