Do you agree with this Texas Republican candidate?

Clearly, not many people have ever heard of the Texas Railroad Commission and what their duties are.
I've heard of them because of my having followed the oil and gas industry for decades.

The Texas Legislature established this state agency way back in 1891.
But it stopped regulating railroads in 2005 as the last of that regulation was transferred to the state DOT.

The TRC is based in Austin with a $79 million dollar budget.

Primaries are always low turnout no matter who is on the ballot, so I'm not sure what this back-and-forth about the exact number of votes accomplishes. French got enough of the vote from Republicans who bothered to turn out. We'll see if he wins the general despite these racist comments.

Plenty of people have won races after making racist comments, on both sides.

This guy seems a lot more direct about it, though. I mean, unless you're going back to the 60s or something.

Maybe true, I don't know anything about this guy and hadn't even heard of him until this situation arose. I was thinking much more recently than the 60s
of course, plenty of examples of this outcome when <8% of the registered voters of any party are as racist as this dude

Biden was elected with the most votes ever and he has said quite a few racist things. Are you telling me the entire democratic party is racist?

Racism in America is only seen as a black and white issue by Democrats, literally.

Other races don't exist to them in comparison, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, etc. How dare they talk about racism among other groups like it's the same thing when African-Americans were the ones enslaved?

Democrats don't even know how to pander to these groups properly.

But they pretend to be outraged.

Which things that Biden said do you think were just as racist as the comments from Bo French in the OP?

Or these?

Biden can't be racist because he chose a black woman to be his VP who later ousted him despite him winning the primary election in the name of Democracy.

Biden's wife, Jill, can't be racist because she tried to speak Spanish on the campaign trail to people who could understand English.

Any racist comments are racist and Biden made plenty.

"Poor kids" / "white kids." While campaigning for president, Biden said, "Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids."

"You ain't Black." During the presidential campaign, Biden told Charlamagne tha God that if someone had trouble deciding between him and Trump, "then you ain't black."

Obama was "articulate…bright and clean." Biden described Barack Obama as the first "mainstream African-American" presidential candidate who was "articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."

Indian-American stereotype. Biden remarked that in Delaware, "you cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent."

So these statements could be described as repeating of stereotypes (Blacks are poor or always vote Democratic, Indians work in food marts, etc.). I don't think any of them carry the suggestion that a particular race are inherently inferior as citizens or residents of America like what Bo French said. You honestly think these are just as bad?

The only reason we're talking about this here is because okaydo had nothing to talk about politically for months until this came out.

It's much easier and more beneficial for the Dems to be outraged over the tweet rather than discuss immigration in general, including legal immigration because they have demonstrated that they don't know what illegal immigration is anymore.

Before Biden became president, how come his Democratic challengers didn't bring up any of this during the debates and campaign trails? Why did the media completely ignore it?

No, a lot of people are outraged about it, including other Republicans in Texas. Not everything people are talking about is a conspiracy. Sometimes Republicans do bad things and deserve criticism.

Absolutely. But the outrage coming from those silent about Biden and more recently, Graham Platner, isn't all that interesting.

That's unless you subscribe to the BS88 standard, which is that all racist things are racist, full stop. No shades of gray.

Which would either mean you have to literally toss everyone out (including Donald Trump) for being racist or no one. Not sure which one is being endorsed here.

I just find it comical that the same 3 or 4 posters ALWAYS resort to the "But Biden did this!!!"
