Given the dates not matching up and the scenario sounding implausible (a Senate candidate in Texas seeking treatment in Ohio?), I think you have to lean towards this not being true and say that Sortor & company have a lot more explaining to do.

I don't really care about Talarico either way and I don't live in Texas so my opinion of him doesn't matter. Democrats don't have a great track record of late with honesty or respecting the election process. It can't really shock you that I tend to not believe a lot of what they say.

They won't admit their error. They won't admit the charge is false. Compare that to my stance on Russiagate. I dont say I dont know if its true. I dont say, after talking about it, I dont care anyway. I say that I believe in Russiagate and I say why (they won't acknowledge those points either). But they won't do any of that on this obviously faked attempt to derail Talarico. They won't stand by it. They won't not stand by it. Just whataboutism after getting caught with their pants down.

Russiagate is true in that the Russian government did try to influence the election in Trump's favor and at least some people in Trump's orbit tried to take them up on it. Whether or not Trump himself knew about it is unproven. So I acknowledge some uncertainty on the finer points.

There really isn't a lot of uncertainty re: Talarico and this "mental hospital in Ohio" story. It's clearly false.
