Give those of us who are not in the regular habit of watching Fox News a guide to what shows are worth checking out.
Jesus, Chris Wallace is a sanctimonious ass-clown. Fake moderate. Tucker Carlson commands more respect than Wallace, Carlson has clowned himself but actually stands for something, is right once and a while, and acknowledges his ideological loyalties.bearister said:
....but Chris Wallace dishonored his show today by giving Rush Limbaugh a pulpit from which to spew his Gish Gallop codswallop. It makes one wonder what pressure was applied to Chris and by whom.
At one point after Limbaugh said the entire Russian collusion investigation is a fraud and its sole purpose is to get tRump, and that it is Hillary who colluded, Wallace asked Rush that if the investigation is a fraud then why did Flynn plead guilty to a felony. Rush stuttered a bit and then said Flynn has financial problems, he is a broken man and would say anything.
Don't get to excited. O/T is now one liberal circle jerk with topics to bate you.iwantwinners said:Jesus, Chris Wallace is a sanctimonious ass-clown. Fake moderate. That you think having Rush on is what "dishonors" him is funny to me. For Christ sake he's a journalist and interviewer, Rush is incredibly popular (for better or for worse...for worse), why wouldn't both FOX and Wallace want him on the show...millions (even liberals) want to hear what comes out of his mouth.
So, why do they keep him on?B.A. Bearacus said:
Sheppard is a little different than the others on Fox News in one particular way. If I had to guess, that's why it's easy for many Fox News viewers to tune him out or discount him.
Just googled "why is shepard smith on fox news" and this article from The Week offers these thoughts on the most likely reasons:mikecohen said:So, why do they keep him on?B.A. Bearacus said:

Quote:
"If I'm Fox News, I would view [Smith's commentary] as a good thing right now," said Dan Cassino, a Fairleigh Dickinson University political scientist who wrote a book on Fox News, espousing the second theory. "It builds the credibility of a news organization," as the Murdoch clan wants for their network. Besides, he adds, since Trump fans have no other cable-news options, "Fox isn't worried about its ratings."
Subscribing to the first theory is Tim Graham at the conservative Media Research Center, who argues that Smith is set to bolt to CNN or MSNBC. "His aggressive defense of the liberal media suggests he's looking at Greta Van Susteren and saying, 'Yeah, I could do that,'" Graham told The Post. "To me, it sounds like he's advertising to other networks. It just seems bizarre for him to be sticking up for CNN and MSNBC. It's like Jif peanut butter taking an ad sticking up for Skippy."

Just about all your posts demonstrate that you do not care one iota about politicians lying or "honor" in the WH (LOL), you only care that it's coming from a president you dislike greatly. Nothing but character criticismsB.A. Bearacus said:
WIAF, I think it's cool that you contribute to OT. You seem like a reasonable voice from the conservative end of the spectrum and don't have as your goal to "flood the zone with shiit" (Bannon quote and strategy).
I will say that the high volume of activity on OT right now is a direct reflection of Donald Trump (surprise, surprise). Shout out to the blue binoculars, too, without which I wouldn't be here.
Things to note:If Mitt Romney were our president, I wouldn't be in OT. During these off season months, I might not even be on BI at all. I disagree that the ramped up activity in OT is just a "liberal circle jerk." Happy Presidents Day.
- Trump lies and dishonors the Office and our country very frequently.
- Is it wrong to call him out on lies, hypocrisy, or corruption that occurs sometimes on a daily interval?
- Is doing so nothing more than signalling group membership?
Thanks. I'm not a Trump fan, and I agree he is divisive and engenders responses. I just choose to ignore him, and try to focus on policy. OTOH, some of the stuff here really is getting so repetitive and over the top you will end up losing any debate.B.A. Bearacus said:

Longtime Fox commentator, Col. Ralph Peters, quits Fox News quits in disgust, saying that Fox has "degenerated from providing a legitimate and much-needed outlet for conservative voices to a mere propaganda machine for a destructive and ethically ruinous administration." [Source: Buzzfeed]
Cambridge Analytica and Russia meddling pale in comparison to the damage Fox News has done and is doing to our country.
