We took the step of requiring a more onerous registration process and that for awhile eliminated 90%+ of the spam attacks. They have unfortunately found immunity to this antibiotic and are back, particularly on this forum.

If I can ask for help, please flag the first one from a new user. If we catch it fast, we ban them and avoid the dozens and dozens of follow on posts.

Interestingly, my understanding is that these are not being done by bots. Rather humans in extremely low cost regions of the world
