2/3 of the country didn't watch it because they already knew the answer to the only question that concerns them: will any of this improve my life? I suspect the Republican will get a similar following.

Wonder if the AG of N.Y. investigation of the Trump Organization's inflation of the value of assets when seeking loans and then the subsequent devaluing of those same assets when taxes were calculated will bear any fruit? Since Captain Catastrophe's spawn, Eric Trump is under subpoena he is at risk as head of the organization. It seems to me that the concepts put forth like the valuing of assets and lowering tax liability are concepts that the general public can follow. Also, since these are financial issues the evidence would be concrete and easy for investigators to follow. Michael Cohen commented and confirmed these allegations when he testified before Congress and was never charged. I wonder if independents will be moved by the further disregard of U.S. laws by Captain Catastrophe and his spawn?

Isn't Biden up by 10% nationally with no end to COVID, unemployment still a big issue, a looming housing crisis, Russia, China, North Korea, Captain Catastrophe's disapproval numbers up and his attempt to kneecap the USPS, and the economy teetering?

Democratic Convention was a negative and depressing event. Some folks got excited when Biden read the teleprompter.

The interesting thing about this graphic is that there aren't hardly any Republicans for Biden except the ones speaking at the Democrat convention- lol. . If we ever needed a third party challenger it's now. Ralph? Hey, cmon, man, It's your time.

Very successful convention. Biden is still alive and can read from a teleprompter , and can still crib with the best of them..this time, from a Canadian politician. Before that, he cribbed from Neil Kinnock. There was an 18 year old girl who dipped half of her hair in guacamole before addressing all the other 18 year-olds. Liz Warren still insisted she was still a Cherokee Indian. Hillary reminded everyone why she lost to Trump. Barack and Michelle insisted this nation was hopelessly racist even though they were elected and re-elected after less than stellar four years. The DSNC managed to remove "Under God" from the pledge of allegiance. No mention of the mobs still rioting in our cities. No mention of China. ands, oh yes..Trump personally killed 170,000 Americans with the virus. All in all, a very successful convention.

Democratic convention fell flat with viewers. Republican convention may do the same

The Democratic National Convention failed to draw many viewers this year making things look worse for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris than expected.

You're cherry-picking, pulling only the polls that match your assumption that Biden is a bad candidate, or perhaps even worse, taking a VERY GOOD poll for Biden and only picking apart the smaller components of that poll that might look bad for him (as you did in the original post in this thread). Guess what: individual polls can have outlier results. It doesn't make them right. I would want to see a larger trend across multiple polls before confidently saying that Biden's lead is slipping.

I have no respect for the kind of analysis you've been doing here. It's motivated reasoning at its finest. Any fair analysis of ALL the polls would tell you that Biden is still ahead by about the same margin he was two months ago. That doesn't mean it couldn't change, but there's no strong evidence it's changed yet.

htp1 - please tell us what law Obama broke and under what theory he could be prosecuted. Also tell us whether you would prosecute Trump for the same offense.

I feel compelled to note that the Yankees pinstripes are navy and that prisoners have never worn pinstripes, but I imagine this is a fun fantasy for you.

I actually wish there was a ton of evidence proving Obama broke the law....so that you could see him acquitted at trial by a jury that engaged in nullification. tRump is so despised that none of his enemies will ever be convicted.

The best case scenario for a prosecutor of a tRump enemy is a mistrial. The only way a tRump enemy goes to prison is if tRump becomes a dictator....which I definitely consider within the realm of possibility.

On the other hand, it appears tRumpists can be convicted (Stone and Manafort). Most associates of tRump, however, are simply willing to plead guilty.

Republicans have told us time and time again that president has absolute immunity and/or can't be prosecuted in the event immunity doesn't apply. They argue that impeachment is the only remedy for misconduct, that he doesn't have to comply with congressional investigations unless the courts say he has to and that the courts can't tell him what to do either. So they're attempting to construct a system where the President's only accountability is removal from office by vote of 67 senators and that he can't be compelled to

Not only is there no evidence of any misconduct or wrongdoing by Obama, even if there were Obama would use Republican arguments against them.

We need to continue to demand Republicans who accuse Obama of wrongdoing to specify precisely what is misconduct was, what laws he violated and under what theory he can be prosecuted. There are many reasons that they won't be able to answer these questions.
