It is well documented and even admitted that the media is coopted and used by the CIA and other intelligence agencies for propaganda to make sure that the interests of the U.S. national security state are proteted. Additionally it is also welll known that the media is owned by a progressively smaller number of large corporations. Generally speaking these media conglomerates are recognized as having right wing affiliations and or strong self interests. The idea that they are left or liberal is something made up to divert attention from this fact. As a labor activist, every interview I ever did was taken out of context by the media.

My personal belief is that the media is biased in favor of keeping people consuming and keeping people dependent on the 2 major parties. And essentially the media is owned and operated by wall street interests.

The term corruption puzzles me. The media is largely private sector. Corruption usually refers to the public sector. I'm not sure how behavior of the private sector could be considered corrupt when private sector folks are, by definition, bought out.

The idea that the media is largely left wing is ridiculous. If that was the case, there wouldn't be a need for news outfits like Democracy Now, which by the way, has been rated as factually much more accurate than the major news outfits.
