Very interesting. It has gotten awful quiet here on this thread. I think the Dems are also not showing with questions, not using their time, possibly opting to vote tomorrow night as well. Just get it over. Getting handed your backside ain't much fun.
There is nothing interesting about a foregone conclusion. Everyone knows the GOP is going to push this nomination through. The more interesting question will be what Democrats will do if and when they win back power.
What is interesting is how hard the Democrats didn't try to stop it That should tell you about how real their interest is in keeping her off the court (aka, none).
That's not interesting either. Democrats are in the minority and can't stop it.
Yes, because the Republicans have never been able to obstruct things with a minority. Even within a minority of their own party stopping the rest of their party.
Filibuster for SCOTUS nominees doesn't exist anymore.
They had other things they could have done besides a filibuster. They're more interesting in a token resistance pretending that they they are upset to pander to people like you.
Please enlighten us on the other things. I will wait for your response.
Doesn't matter. The GOP has the ultimate hand in this and she will be approved. The focus is on winning the white house and senate - not in acting like a bunch of whiners in such a way that threatens mission #1. Going after a losing cause is unwise. Win Big in November and white laws that turn a losing hand into a winning hand.
exactly, keep your eye on the prize. Also, Justice mommy not a great target.
Truth really sets you off when forced to confront, doesn't it Trump voter?
I read elsewhere that Wife voted for Biden, FYI.
Though, I believe he really didn't want to. It must have been difficult.
But, hey, that's okay - he did the right thing.
Thank you, Wife! I know I've give you a hard time here for 4+ years over your (my perception of) attempts to rationalize Trump and the Republican Party. I think this election, combined with the 2018 House flip, justifies my position which I have believed all along (so did Lindsay Graham). I'm frustrated that you came late, but I tip my cap that you have eventually pulled the trigger on Trump - a horrible horrible man by so many measures.
As I've long said, nobody wants to be the last man sitting at the Trump Table when the tent collapses. It's awful embarrassing for those diehard fans.
Again, I do apologize for giving you such a hard time about it. It's my inability to not comprehend how anyone could NOT have seen in Trump what I saw in him from the very start. Let the pig roast. I have no ability to forgive him. Empathy, yes. Forgive? No.
