Why I think Trump will win

  • Enthusiasm on the ground. In pretty much every state in the country, there are big Trump rallies, parades, flotillas and signs everywhere.
  • Trump's nonstop campaigning, keeping enthusiasm high among Trump voters and winning over people in the middle. He's working 2-3 rallies in key states most every day, with consistently strong turnouts.
  • Republicans have added hundreds of thousands of new registered voters in key battleground states. Trump drew in a large number of voters who hadn't voted in a long time or at all and that's only increased substantially.
  • No enthusiasm for Biden. No one goes to his rallies and he's not inspiring anyone. He's the anti-Trump candidate. Harris is not very likeable either, and she didn't gain any traction in the primaries.
  • Violent protests and calls to defund the police or the actual defunding of police. This does not play well with much of America.
  • A demographic shift, where more and more black and latino voters are coming around to the republican party. That would've never happened if the party hadn't significantly changed from the stereotypical country club party to a much more inclusive party. The republican convention wasn't a mirage. The party has moved significantly, to the point where the dominant majority of black and latino voters may not flock to vote democratic in years to come. It could be a seismic shift.
  • The democratic platform is too big an overreach. The dominant majority of the country does not want no fossil fuels or anything approaching the green new deal or MFA. Any form of socialism is not popular with much of the country. After Dukakis lost a huge lead and got crushed, just like Mondale, the party intelligentsia came together and realized that the Mondale/Dukakis brand of politics was not what America was looking for and a totally different brand of democratic politician captured the nomination and won back the white house in the next election in Clinton. I believe the dems will have to rebrand and move away from the radical AOC platform style and go more mainstream to retake the white house.
  • The Biden scandals might've been the last nail in the coffin. There's lots of evidence that Hunter was just the conduit for the money that flowed from Russia, Ukraine and China to the Biden pockets. Most here outright reject it but there's been too much compelling evidence put forth for much of the country to reject it. Disagree all you want but that seems to be the case.
  • I think Trump will have a definitive electoral college victory and could quite possibly win the popular vote, too. I realize these opinions run completely counter to what the mainstream media and the pollsters have put out so it probably sounds like crazy talk here but anyone paying attention to pretty much anything outside of the networks, CNN and MSNBC won't be surprised if things play out this way.

bearlyamazing - I can't believe you missed an opportunity to hype the Durham report you keep promising is coming. Or have you, like Trump, come to determine that Wray and Barr aren't sufficiently loyal to him since they failed to deliver the goods.

I think this thread will age about as well as this exchange we had last year.

OMG bearlyamazing is my new favorite troll. I suspect he's a sock for someone who is trying to be funny because no one can seriously hold those views.

First, thanks for reminding me that Michael Flynn is a traitor and felon.

Second, thanks for reminding us that process crimes only matter when Hillary Clinton is alleged to have committed them.

Third, given that Trump has hand picked leadership at the DOJ, how is it that they have been completely unable to prove any wrongdoing whatsoever by the deep state, Obama or Clinton? Yet, that same hand picked group just convicted Roger Stone? And just arrested Rudy's Ukrainians buddies? I guess that is just more evidence of his effective Trump is as a leader.
!. How is General Flynn a traitor and a felon. Explain in detail. Don't just tell me he was convicted. Tell me what he did and why he's a traitor, in particular.

2. Destroying evidence and breaking federal laws on the handling of classified information is not a process crime. It's multiple felonies. If a flunky like Comey wasn't in charge, she and her assistants have been in a lot more trouble.

3. What other ways are people hired in the DOJ that aren't "hand-picked?" Please. Or should he have just retained Obama holdovers working against him? Again, please. Obama cleaned house like nobody's business, including the ambassadors.

4. Spare me the complete nonsense about the DOJ being "completely unable to prove any wrongdoing whatsoever by the deep state, Obama or Clinton." That contention will be funny to look back on when Durham and Barr's reports are done.

There's a reason the deep state is running scared.

tRump will win because of how easy the Electoral College is to rig, especially when added to voter suppression, and not for any of the bullsh@it bullet points that are fictions solely intended to make a tRump victory look legit.

In a way, I hope he does win so that thousands and thousands of the sub human waste that supports him will suffer and die because they get their medical advice from him. Angry, hateful and ignorant people that have it f@ucking coming to them. I am so tired of listening to their factually baseless opinions as they are asked questions while in line at tRump rallies.

With the election being so easy to rig, why did they even bother with this:

A tRump "win" fits the Social Darwinism narrative on all four squares. It almost makes me a believer in the "everything happens for a reason" and "it's all part of God's plan" philosophy. I'm real good with herd immunity as it relates to the Red States. The sooner we are rid of them, the better for the rest of us. They can bury them in their t shirts. BTW, is Rush dead yet?

Pointing out the vile hatred you regularly post on here is not being a snowflake. The ridiculous blood on his hands hyperbole so many post on here is beyond rational discussion. All the ridiculous Russia narratives posted here for 4 years, calling Trump a traitor under the thumb of Putin has been beyond rational discussion.

Now when we have actual documentation and senate testimony under oath that the Chi-coms dirtied up Biden by cutting him into Hunter's China deal and the absolute crap for America deals Biden cut with China while in office along his continued defense of our biggest enemy he has no qualms about selling us down the river to? Nothing to see here.

So many people here try to continually gaslight with the republicans are hypocrites mantra. Sorry, we're not even in the ballpark with you dishonest bunch of win at all costs loons here and your party and political movement. Not even close.

The way the media has gone out of it's way to completely black out one of the biggest national security stories of our lifetime, right before the election is unconscionable and will forever tarnish the media's credibility with our country.

What did Twitter CEO/cretin Jack Dorsey say in his testimony when asked if they have any evidence whatsoever that the NY Post story was untrue?

"No."

Did they have evidence that the thousands upon thousands of bs stories about Trump and Russia were verified? Of course not and they censored none of them.

Hypocrites. The whole lot of you.

There was exactly one person in that thread predicting it. No one I knew was very confident going into that election.

"The researchers compared the coronavirus response of the U.S. to that of six other countries South Korea, Japan, Australia, Germany, Canada, and France and found that the American government's response to the pandemic rated unfavorably against them all.

The U.S. has suffered a COVID-19 fatality rate more than double that of Canada and 50 times that of Japan. Extrapolating from the deaths per 100,000 people in each country, the researchers estimated how the U.S. might have fared had it followed the example of a more robust response. The answer: always better than it did in reality.

"If the U.S. had followed Canadian policies and protocols, there might have only been 85,192 U.S. deathsmaking more than 132,500 American deaths 'avoidable.'

If the U.S. response had mirrored that of Germany, the U.S. may have only had 38,457 deathsleaving 179,260 avoidable deaths," the researchers wrote......

We should model ourselves on the best. We should be the best," Redlener said. "We have the resources, the economy, the scientific expertise to do this the right way. We're facing a lethal pandemic, and we had very misguided leadership that chose to berate the purveyors of masks and social distancing. The president himself became a superspreader. He has blood on his hands....

Researchers cite several well-known but catastrophic factors that plagued the U.S. response: insufficient testing, delayed lockdowns, a lack of a unified federal response, and a failure to mandate non-medical interventions like masks and social distancing.

American leaders, the researchers wrote, have shown a "failure to model best practices," especially wearing masks during public appearances."

Report: "130,000 210,000 AVOIDABLE COVID-19 DEATHS AND COUNTING IN THE U.S."

Oo, tough talk! Pu$$ies? Are you some kinda tough guy? I don't think so, old timer. Ya gonna whack people with your cane?

You know very well the US's situation is far different from Canada's, ranging from population and population centers to travel to ethic diversity and all the international travel that comes with it.

You mean to tell me with a straight face that that clown Biden who called Trump irrational and xenophobic for his initial limitations on travel from China and Europe would've done a better job? Nancy Pelosi saying everything's fine, go eat dinner in Chinatown? Talk about flaming hypocrites. Biden doesn't have anywhere near the industry connections and clout to get so many ventilators distributed so quickly or medical ships and an unprecedented public/private partnership tackling of medical research and progress with therapeutics and vaccines. He and Obama handled the H1N1 virus absolutely pathetically then he wants to turn around and lecture Trump?

So it all comes down to Covid for you? Your president got it and overcame it.

Mishandling of COVID pandemic is a huge part of it for me. I also adopt Admiral McGraven's sentiments:

"... The world no longer looks up to America" and that "without American leadership the world will indeed be transformed, just not in the way we hope."

"They have been witness to our dismissiveness, our lack of respect and our transactional approach to global issues. They have seen us tear up our treaties, leave our allies on the battlefield and cozy up to despots and dictators," he wrote. "They have seen our incompetence in handling the pandemic and the wildfires. They have seen us struggle with social injustice. They no longer think we can lead, because they have seen an ineptness and a disdain for civility that is beyond anything in their memory."

"We need a leader of integrity whose decency and sense of respect reflects the values we expect from our president. We need a president for all Americans, not just half of America," he wrote."
