Three years after Season 1, a second season of this Swedish drama was released this year and is now on Acorn, but missing the lead actress. Still the acting is such that I follow the action easily, much of the time not even needing the subtitles.
The subtitles are funny, the characters greet each other with 'Hey", "Hey" which is translated "hello and hi."
They didn't need to bother. The last episode the characters were drinking and toasted each other "Skol",
again It didn't need to be translated to 'Cheers'.
I suppose the change of the lead character isn't as troubling after I have watched eighteen of the 27 seasons of long running Scottish series "Taggart" where the title character died in the middle of the eleventh season and was not replaced.
Interesting observation, in Taggart much of the time the Scottish detectives are driving Volvos, while in Season 2 of RM the police were driving Land Rovers. On the other hand it's easier to follow the Swedish dialogue at times than the Scottish. And then there are additional episodes of Welsh dramas that I am anticipating, that dialogue has to be dubbed.
