Congrates to Stephen Domingo and Sam Singer for earning acceptance into the Cal Berkeley Haas School of Business
The Haas Undergraduate Program again snagged the #2 spot in the U.S. News & World Report ranking of the country's best undergrad business programs, tied with MIT. This is the third year Haas has ranked #2
my man travis decuire's montana grizzlies (17-8) defeated in state rival montana state 87-78
coach martin & his staff along with bears basketball fans owe a debt of gratitude to td for his leadership role in recruiting jabari bird, jordan mathews, sam singer, kameron rooks & roger moute a bidias to berkeley as cal's monster class (2013)
if stanford fires johnny dawkins after this season for missing the ncca tournament 7 out of his 8 years in palo alto, then it's likely that stanford basketball icon mike montgomery will make a strong recommendation that the cards hire his former player wayne tinkle of oregon state...both his son tres & assistant coach thumpson's son steve are outstanding students (both are true freshmen), they could likely transfer to stanford with their dads
at that point don't be surprised if oregon state hires travis decuire, he is the best available (mark few isn't gonna leave gonzaga) mid major coach in the western states, he's relatively young & a relentless recruiter, he has a strong track record of academic accountability, and he has built strong recruiting connections in the northwest having grown up in seattle
cal's monster class was started largely because of conversations with travis, gregg gottlieb & theo robertson back in the day re: the then lack of energy & momentum surrounding recruiting & attendance at that time
oregon state (15-10/6-8) couldn't defeat criminal dana altman's breaking bad enterprise oregon ducks (21-6/10-4) 91-81 as tyler dorsey got lots of buckets (25 points) in eugene
johnny dawkin's days in palo alto could be numbered (not making the ncca tournament 7 out of his 8 years down on the farm) as stanford (13-12/6-8) loses to washington (16-11/8-7) in seattle
ucla (15-12/6-8) plays its best defense of the season (particularly free throw d as the buffs only shoot 6-12 on fts) in beating a lethargic low energy colorado (19-9/8-7) 77-53 in front of a ton of empty seats at pauley pavilion
key win for st marys (22-4) as the gaels knock off gonzaga 63-58 that significantly strengthens cal's ncca tournament selection/seeding resume
big win for davidson (16-9) over atlantic 10 leader st josephs 99-93
shockster 2015/2016 pac 12 prediction: 12th place (last place)
coach: ernie "donor lover" kent
what you need to know about kent: ernie got pushed out the door in eugene for having an affair with the married wife of a major donor (not phil knight)...at an academically mediocre school like oregon you can recruit low character basketball players with criminal records who got low gpas that aren't interested in graduating with a degree that ultimately rape female students on campus & that won't get you fired (just ask altman) but if you bang the wife of someone important to the athletic department, you're done baby, pack your **** & get out of town
what up in pullman?: the cougars best player davonte lacy (team high 16.9 ppg) along with bears killer jordan railey (the catalyst for the cougs upset victory in berkeley on january 4th with 17 points) & starting wing dexter dexter kernich-drew are gone...returning junior josh hawkenson (14.7 pgg & 10.8 rpg) & junior ike iroegbu (team high 3.4 apg & 8.9 ppg) won't got get much support this season
what this means for the bears: if the bears hibernate & don't take them cougs seriously, they will lose another ******* game to wsu...that would truly be a shame
my niece bailey doing a selfie with klay thompson at haas this season, dude is bailey's favorite golden state warrior
i dunno klay thompson isn't even my favorite washington state cougar, it's really not even close
washington state is 9-17 on the season & 1-13 in the pac 12 including a then ranked #25 overconfident ucla 85-78 upset at pauley pavilion
the cougars are led by the dangerous trio 6'10' 232 lbs josh hawkenson (15.5 ppg including an unreal 56% on fgs & 45.2% on 3 pointers along with 11.0 rpg), 6'2" 195 lbs ike iroebgu (13.8 ppg with 40.8% on 3 pointers & 3.6 apg) & 6'5" 208 lbs que johnson (10.6 ppg)
last year the cougs came to berkeley & defeated an overconfident bears at haas pavilion, is that **** gonna happen again?
this game is gonna be all about energy, is cal gonna play this evening like their ******* hair is on fire or not?...are the bears gonna try to big time the cougs & get their azzs handed to them as a result?...is cal gonna dominate a poor rebounding washington state (34 rpg) team on the boards & push tempo?...are ivan rabb, kameron rooks & kingsley okoroh gonna have the games of their lives against the overmatched cougs post players?
yeah, this game is gonna be all about energy, a loss tonite would absolutely crush cal's season & deservedly put them outside of the ncca bubble
are the leaders of this california golden bears team gonna lead by example & absolutely demand by imposing their will that their team play with relentless ******* energy for 40 minutes?
brandon, nick (the smartest bear of them all) & cole reading/listening to cal's monster class is always a productive use of time
diamonds are not always forever (the time is now for everything)#
Wonder what Steven Domingo would say about the transfer from G'town to Cal. I have a family member who went to Cal undergrad and then got a post grad masters at Santa Clara. Said the difference was night and day in difficulty in her major. Wonder if he notices the same.
oscar frayer had the option of reclassifying to 2017 & attending prep school in 2016 in order to become a cal bear but that's not what he wanted to do
good luck to oscar at grand canyon university, kinda wondering if they will let me bring a couple of my rescue dogs to a game on indian school road next season, they love them chilli hot dogs with animal fries, so tasty if you're a slobber mouth
are them bears gonna be correctly reading young ivee's american sign language for stick talk & delivering momentum erupting lob passes which get slammed down with authority?...great teams know how to create energy for themselves on the road even if there's only one (1) crazy azz true california golden bear fan screaming his azz off for them
are the bears gonna bring ******* stick talk to beasely coliseum in a couple of hours or what?...the weather may be cold azz but the bears blood gotta be boiling, the whole ******* season is gonna be on the line tonite
real men, alpha males, will be bringing LOUD predatory energy to the court tonite, candy azz soft bitches should just stay in the ******* locker room & take selfies with each other...men take care of their business
petaluma, kayne is kinda upset with me because of all the attention kim k is showing for me, her driving me from yoga to the golf course to dinner at nobu malibu & then sitting on the floor at cal games
maybe you should start working out too?...it's kinda interesting that there a lot of donut boys on leper island
That would be funny IF you knew WTF you were talking about. Putting down other Cal Bear fans who do attend the games (fb and hoops) is stupid. But you carry on because it's clearly not working for you...
tonite's game is all on the players, if they gotta rely upon the coaches for energy we're ******
true competitors come ready to play every single ******* game, they are mentally hardwired to play with relentless energy regardless of the competition or the location
the good news is that this will be the only road game (too bad we're not also playing at usc's always empty galen center) of the season that the bears are gonna be able to hear coach martin's yelled defensive instructions on both ends of the court
on the other hand, hopefully coach martin is not gonna tell everybody just to shut the **** up & stoically sit like quiet mouses on the bench like he usually does at road games:headbang
yeah, the bears got a lotta enemies, got a lotta people trying' to drain them of their energy in pullman
Cal dominates Washington State and Sweeps the Northwest vs WSU Cal shot a blistering FIFTY EIGHT percent from the field, including FIFTY SIX percent from Deep, and 75% from the line
Tyrone Wallace plays one of his most complete games as a Bear with an efficient 6-9 shooting, including a sweet 3-3 from deep + 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal oh, and he locked in on defense, helping the Bears shut down the Cougs on their home court

cal's monster class#
spoke with 2 major wsu donors (and trust me, there aren't many of them) before the game who are very disappointed in the direction of the program under current head coach ernie kent & they have expressed those thoughts to the school's ad & prez...i explained to them why the tough minded travis decuire would be a strong candidate to lead the cougars program into the future with tireless recruiting & greater academic accountability, they were both interested in learning more about td...once you become a friend of the shockster, i will walk to the end of the earth with you
also briefly visited with wsu s&c coach scott thom who did a very good job for the cal basketball program under coach montgomery...no doubt scott would be retained by td if decuire was given the opportunity in pullman
only downside of travis getting the cougs job would be that if would effectively end cal's recruitment of his relative jaylen nowell but it's possible with nowell's outstanding gpa & academic ambition that he could still potentially end up in berkeley particularly if family favorite lorenzo romar is not retained in seattle after next season
left to right, jennifer "princess rhianna" hunter, lucas "3 point king" cortez, mitch "spielberg" elkins, marcus "the enforcer" green, tyrone "senior leader" wallace & ivan "finally" rabb
there are dumb azzs who inaccurately state that the cal basketball program is not coaching up its players, these clowns don't actually go to cal basketball games but prefer to pontificate in what i consider to be dumpster fire opinions with racist undertones
tonite in pullman there are not any seats directly behind coach martin so both marcus green & mitch elkins sit right next to me in the 1st row a couple feet behind coach with their clipboards & game notes...when washington state would come down court on offensive sequences they would accurately call out the cougars schemes to coach hufnagel & coach martin would then bark out defensive instructions...i will not repeat the wsu schemes (an example might be "curl 17") because we might play them again the pac 12 tournament but thru literally non stop video scouting work by the cal staff they knew the cougars playbook & play calling, that's classic championship basketball coaching, got it?
the bears are the pac 12's leading defender of field goals & one of the top teams defensively in the nation, that's great coaching to not only scout & scheme against our opponents but also to teach defensive fundamentals & perhaps most importantly, get guys to buy in to play bad azz defense
if you honestly think the cal basketball program is not coaching up its players, why don't you actually go to the ucla & usc games at haas pavillion this week & make an effort to better understand the nuances of college basketball
game balls to both mitch & marcus, get some sleep & get your sorry broken down azzs to haas tomorrow by 6:00 am to start breaking down the bruins & trojans game videos, ok?...sleep is for losers
jennifer hunter is the cal's basketball program's academic tutor that travels with the team on road trips to ensure the academic mission at the #1 ranked public university in the world is fulfilled...we discussed the potential graduation timelines for most of the guys & it's impressive the planning along with academic ambition for our california golden bears
herb berenson, cal's director of media, turned around during a 1st half time & told me he just read a game tweet that said, "tell the 3 cal fans making all the noise that they are keeping the washington state fans from a good nap"...yeah, we got a lotta energy
team manager lucas cortez starts working an hour before the game & is still working even 30 minutes after the game, his work ethic is unrivaled in the college ranks, thank you lou richie
funny moment in the final 5 minutes when coach martin recalls kameron rooks by the scorer's table from reporting back into the game...coach talks to kam & both are laughing...so i start yelling for kam to "take a seat, rooks, sit your azz back down" & then i notice coach jones glaring back at me to make sure i'm not talking **** about his guy
so there's around 2-3 minutes left in the game & i start screaming my azz off for coach martin to put in the slow & the forgotten, them rescue walk ons...coach walks away from me down to the end of the bench & talks to the guys & then tells cole to get his azz in the game, brenden & nick kerr aren't far behind either
a cal win is a good thing, a cal victory with playing time for the them rescue walk ons is a great ******* nite
bears are flying home on a charter flight leaving idaho around 8:30 pm & will arrive at the oakland airport at approximately 10:30 which means the guys will be back at the basketball house around now...a very productive biz trip this weekend in the northwest but try to turn off the social media devices & get some sleep, ok?
on the other hand, let the wild rumpus start
the magic of cal basketball (do you got your tix(s) for ucla & usc?)#
congrats to my boyz sam singer & stephen domingo on their acceptances to the internationally recognized haas business school which is one of cal's most competitive majors...i truly hope you will have sex (but not with each other) with one of your haas classmates in one of the classrooms late at nite, you gotta just make sure them them doors are closed, it's important to be a good study partner
as a fellow haas biz ad undergrad, i graduated with phi beta kappa honors with the intent of working 2 years in san francisco & then pursuing a harvard mba...but i quickly realized that the haas skills were enough to pursue my professional & personal (to kiss a curvy brunette yoga female while playing the world's top 100 golf courses) aspirations without an academic side trip to cold azz cambridge
sammy & stephen, you are most amazing dudes (with really short haircuts)...good luck on your haas adventures, your eyes will be opened up with pure sunlight
and here we go, life's waiting to begin
the adventure#
congratulated sam an hour before the game prior to the early warm ups on his acceptance into the haas biz school...he hopes to graduate next spring & will take a heavy workload this summer in berkeley to make sure this happens...singer & domingo started taking biz ad classes last semester so they're both already rolling in the classwork right now...sam told me he hasn't take any of the accounting classes yet, i told him they're probably the most challenging classes of the degree but very important, the ability to read complex financial statements is the key to understanding the dna of the business world
former bishop o'dowd's team manager/assistant coach & current cal team manager lucas cortez has a heart defect which is kinda surprising because he seems to have the heart of 10,000 ferocious golden bears
so when the then senior (lucas is #14) finally got into a game late in the season, check out the reaction of rabb (#23) when something magical happenes, you could not make this stuff up

ivan's ecstatic celebration (1st teammate to storm the court) tells you all you gotta know about him, young ivee is unselfish & loves his teammates
so you're saying it's not over, that there really is gonna be a sequel to man on fire?
who knew
losing a basketball game is kinda like getting dumped, you are emotionally damaged goods & you think about what you could've done differently to change the outcome...yeah the shockster was pretty upset after the virginia game
but you gotta go forward, there's no point in looking backwards & sometimes the solution is right in front of you & then we're off to the races
not gonna lie to you, that inbound entry lob pass to young ivee that resulted in a thunderous monster throw down & energy momentum builder for the bears made me mist up a little bit
guard dominant usc (19-8/8-6) continues to be vulnerable to aggressive bigs in the interior in losing to utah (21-7/10-5) as jakob poeltl abused the trojans inside for 29 points on 11-13 fgs & 13 boards, yeah this is the roadmap for the bears
san diego state (20-7) is gonna win the mountain west conference after a 78-56 beatdown of the san jose spartans
after talking to chancellor nicky d & his crew it's agreed we're gonna run a cal basketball promotional bobblehead nite for the ucla game on thursday february 25th at 6:00 pm for the first 10,000 fans in thru the front door at haas pavilion featuring surfer dude cole welle & a curvy brunette yoga female wearing a fuschia bikini...these bobbleheads are gonna be collectors items particularly in santa cruz
our palace is gonna be sold out for sure that nite...do you got your tix(s)?...don't be a sorry broken azz tv fan
this **** is getting live
what's the value of a cal degree?
back in the day cole spend his summer days on the beach with a bunch of dudes, nothing wrong with that but certainly not ideal from a shockster perspective
now look at him above, he's got one of them curvy brunette yoga females with a fuschia bikini from an academically mediocre school, them girls wanna date & marry cal, stanford & ivy league grads, that's just the way of the world
real talk#
your top priority this morning should be to go to calbears.com or call 1-800-gobears to get your tix(s) for the ucla game, there are currently around 1,000 seats left the ucla game & a couple hundred seats left for the usc game
my vision for the future of cal basketball when i started the cal's monster class included an energized & packed haas pavilion that created both a championship hostile home court advantage & a recruiting talking point for the staff, elite recruits wanna play in front of large crowds
cal is currently a perfect 16-0 at haas pavilion with a loyal & growing fan base of true california golden bears fans...and we're gonna draw over 10,000+ per game this season, one of the top collegiate attendance records on the west coast
the special guys that comprise this year's cal basketball team will never play again at haas pavilion together after these 2 games, are you gonna be there to experience in person the magic of cal basketball?
if not now, when?...the time is now for everything
i am relentless in my efforts to better the lives of rescue dogs in maricopa county
what do you believe in that causes you to take action in life?
let's be real here, i'm also the biggest supporter of the slow & the forgotten, them california golden bears walk ons, the saddest show on earth
dead men (and teenage girls that shop at brandy melville) wear plaid#
you should reconsider this post. For one, fact: Bc is not a walk on. Further, for style, or lack thereof: Walk ons don't like to be called a sorry show Walk ons don't like to be called dead men, or compared stray rescue dogs. Instead, they are all valuable members of the TEAM, putting in tons of hard work in practices to help prepare the starters for games. Don't disrespect that. I don't!!! Your lack of class here, in an attempt to be humorous, is not shocking.
Jabari has the sweetest J on the team ... silky smooth
3-3 treys vs WSU
And now he's multiple ... attacking the basket too
Agree here 100%. You are looking at a kid that next year is going to be likely the go to score/featured guy assuming the one and dones are actually one and dones. The growth in Bird's game - given battling back from injury is simply amazing.

wow, thank you for the insightful feedback, that's really helpful
next time i talk to the guys and/or their parents, which is literally at every home game, i will apologize to them
