Martin lost my respect with the way how handled the Bakersfield game. It was clear he was already leaving. He should have turned the game over to his assistants as soon as he knew he was leaving.
Respectfully disagree. When someone leaves a position, it's almost impossible to handle it "just right". Heck, before the Bakersfield game, lotsa people here were saying it was so unimportant, we shouldn't have even taken it. 1,500 fans show up (I was one of them). Later, it's all of a sudden a big deal? Cuonzo Martin came here, gave us the best he had for three years, then left for a better job. It's called building a career.
I'm cool with him, not to mention he had to pay us a buyout, as opposed to our last two football coaches. Not to mention he wasn't the world's greatest coach anyway and now we can continue our elusive search for the Holy Grail that much sooner.
Best of luck at Mizzou, Coach Martin. You know when it was worth it? When you got Brown, then got Rabb, then when it looked like we also had Swanigan! That was a moment right there, yes it was. It looked like we were rolling for a few hours there!
