Mono symptoms vary considerably. I had it at Cal, diagnosed after I nearly passed out during an intramural volleyball match. I was out the remainder of the spring quarter, less than 10 weeks, then able to take a full load the following summer quarter (before Reagan budget cuts eliminated summer quarters).
