Bequette's Improved Pass Rush Keeps Him on the Field

The Cal defense has been one of the bigger surprises in the Pac-12 this season. Two years removed from being one of the worst in the country, giving up 518.2 yards per game, they are now ranked 18th in the nation, allowing just 318.6.

And defensive end Luc Bequette has a lot to do with that resurgence. “He has probably been our most pleasant surprise on defense,” defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter said of the 6-2, 295-pound junior.
