Fall Camp Day 11: First Scrimmage

Cal played (almost) real football for the first time on Tuesday, with an hour-long ‘Play the Game” session, basically a scrimmage in full pads with tackling allowed, except for the quarterbacks.

The Bears ran 85 plays and a lot of the players, particularly the younger ones, were able to get in on it. 

It was a day dominated by the defense (no surprise there), especially early. But the offense did manage to come up with some plays, especially late in the morning.
