To all those Cal fans who were clamoring for Devon Modster to replace Chase Garbers, I say be careful what you wish for.

Because now apparently you’ve got him and based on Friday night’s showing there might be some issues. Under his direction, the Cal offense was largely ineffective. There were other reasons for the 24-17 loss to ASU at Memorial Stadium. In Evan Weaver’s terminology, the defense was “horrible”.
