Wednesday Practice Report: Wilcox Won't Announce Starting QB Yet

Three days before Cal hosts USC and Bears head coach Justin Wilcox was not ready to name his starting quarterback on Wednesday. Chase Garbers, who has missed the last four games with an injury, has returned to practice this week. But Devon Modster, who took over for him and missed a game himself, had his best effort as a Bear in Saturday’s win over Washington State. 

“Nothing to announce yet,” Wilcox said after Wednesday’s practice.
