Ben Hawk Schrider: Playing in a Bowl Rather Than Eating From One

While Cal was playing in last year’s Cheez-It Bowl, Ben Hawk Schrider was munching on the game sponsor’s treats while watching the Bears. 

Fast forward to 2019 and Hawk (as we will call him) could start for the Bears against Illinois in the Redbox Bowl.

“A year ago we were having a Cheez-It Bowl party with my family here in Berkeley and I didn’t have any connections to Cal,” he said after a practice last week.
