BERKELEY – Cal had four former players named to the NFL's 2010s All-Decade Team announced by the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Monday with the Golden Bears' four selections tying Pitt for the most of any college football program. Cal was the only school to boast three players on the offensive side of the ball in running back Marshawn Lynch, center Alex Mack and quarterback Aaron Rodgers, while defensive end Cameron Jordan was selected to the defensive squad. All four of Cal's selections played most recently in the NFL in 2019.

The four former Cal players on the NFL's 2010s All-Decade Team are among a total of nine from the Pac-12 with no other school from the conference having more than one and also equal the four produced by the quartet of 2019 College Football Playoff teams.

The 55-member team of 53 players and two coaches is the result of votes cast over the last several weeks by the Pro Football Hall of Fame's 48-member selection committee. Only players who received at least one selection to a Pro Bowl, Associated Press All-Pro team or Pro Football Writers Association all-conference team during the 2010-19 seasons were eligible.

Cal now has a total of six former players on the NFL's All-Decade Teams that were first named in 1969 and stretch back retroactively to the 1920's with linebacker Hardy Nickerson (1990's) and tight end Tony Gonzalez (2000's) the previous selections.
