Cal in a Rush to Pressure Opposing QBs

The Cal pass rush was something of a puzzle last season. It was by most accounts better than 2018.  For example, the Bears recorded 36 sacks in their 13 football games, second-best in the conference, 21st in the country and five more than the year before. 

“We put more emphasis on the pass rush in practice last year from day one,” Peter Sirmon, the new lead defensive coordinator, said this week.
