People forget that Pawlawski was a great LEADER for one of our most successful teams in semi-recent history. But he was not a polished, super accurate QB while at Cal.

I love Pawlawski and believe his skill level greatly increased when he played Arena league
ball.

I think Ross is doing a good-very good job overall. Here are his season stats to date:

145/260 completions/attempts for a 55.8 completion percentage, 1696 yards (26th in the country), 6.5 yard average per attempt, 10 tds, 8 ints, 24 sacks (3rd most in the country!!), 117.1 rating (103rd).

Take away 2 of the 4 picks in the 4th quarter of the USC game (one of which was a fluke and 1-2 of which was due to desperately trying to come back) and his rating would increase quite a bit. I realize that's like saying...(your favorite "what if" here)...but in general, and especially given the fact this is his first year and the sack numbers, he has done a good to very good job imo. I also think he shows very good leadership skills and that he will continue to grow as a QB.

Couple of "flukes" against AZ so far tonight, but he'll learn from it.
