Welcome to the Cal Family, Jeremiah! GO BEARS!!!
Bears Add Commit #14 With Menlo-Atherton CB Jeremiah Earby
For the second time this week, the Bears added a commit to their 2022 class with today’s commitment from 6-2/170 3 star Menlo-Atherton cornerback Jeremiah Earby. Earlier this week, San Ramon Valley OT Jackson Brown also committed to Cal.
The talented two-way player made the announcement via Instagram today choosing a Cal hat over OSU. Menlo-Atherton head coach Chris Saunders introduced Earby, saying: “It’s a great moment for Jeremiah Earby and it’s a great moment for Menlo-Atherton football. Super proud, super honored as head coach at Menlo-Atherton. It’s a great moment for a great young man who’s making a great decision for his future.
“I just can’t say enough great things about the way Jeremiah’s worked. The way he’s gone about the process, about his academics and everything that’s waiting for you in the future is well-earned.”

In his announcement, Earby said: “First off, I want to thank everyone for being here -family and friends who have pushed me to where I am today. I want to thank God for the last couple of months and before that. I want to thank both my parents for always pushing me in the classroom and on the field, as well. I want to thank Coach Saunder, Coach Adair and the boosters and everyone for making this day come true. I want to thank all my previous coaches and teammates for pushing me in practices.
“With that being said, I will be taking me academic and athletic career to The University of California Berkeley.”
Earby joins Mater Dei DB Cameron Sidney, likely completing Cal’s expected two-man recruiting class.
The talented two way starter got the season off with a bang in MA’s season opener with five catches for a whopping 220 yards and three td’s at receiver to go along with three tackles and an interception on defense.
Earby plans to be at Cal’s season opener Saturday along with Brown on unofficial visits. They’ll be joined by recent commit Cam Sidney on an official visit, as well.
With 14 commits, the Bears are likely two to three slots away from wrapping up their 2022 class.
