Hicks And Goode On Associated Press All-Pac-12 Teams

Elijah Hicks and Cameron Goode have been selected to All-Pac-12 teams selected by a panel of 14 sportswriters and broadcasters who cover the league. Hicks was a first-team pick at safety, while Goode earned second-team honors as a linebacker.

Cal has had a total of 14 football student-athletes honored on at least one All-Pac-12 team in 2021. Below are notes on each of the Cal players named to 2021 All-Pac-12 teams and the media outlets that have selected them. Extended bios are available by clicking on each of their names.

— 2021 Campbell Trophy, Jason Witten Collegiate Man Of The Year and Wuerffel Trophy Semifinalist as A senior when he started all 12 games and led the team while co-leading the Pac-12 with a career-high four forced fumbles and 0.33 forced fumbles per game (#T11 NCAA)
— Also co-led the 2021 squad with a career-high three interceptions that are tied for third in the Pac-12, while he was second on the 2021 team with 72 tackles and added 5.5 tackles for loss (-15 yards), 1.0 sack (-8 yards) and two pass breakups, with the tackles, tackles for loss and tackle for loss yards all career highs

— Ranks second in the Pac-12 in 2021 in both sacks (7.5) and sacks per game (0.68)
— Started and played in 37 career games after redshirting as a 2016 true freshman and finished his collegiate career with 171 tackles, 36.5 tackles for loss (-183 yards), 21.5 sacks (-132 yards), two interceptions that he returned for 70 yards and a pair of touchdowns, 10 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 13 quarterback hurries

— Helped Cal roll up over 500 total yards of offense three times in 2021 (636 at Stanford, 534 vs. Sacramento State, 517 vs. Oregon State) and more than 200 yards rushing on four occasions (352 at Stanford, 255 vs. Oregon State, 246 vs. Sacramento State, 213 vs. Colorado)
— Helped Cal break a Big Game record with 636 total yards of offense that were its most since also compiling 636 in a double overtime home win over Oregon in 2016, while the Golden Bears' 352 rushing yards were their most since rushing for 431 against Washington in 2008

— Helped Cal roll up over 500 total yards of offense three times in 2021 (636 at Stanford, 534 vs. Sacramento State, 517 vs. Oregon State) and more than 200 yards rushing on four occasions (352 at Stanford, 255 vs. Oregon State, 246 vs. Sacramento State, 213 vs. Colorado)
— Became the first Cal player to win Pac-12 Offensive Lineman of the Week honors since its' inception in 2019 for his performance in Cal's 41-11 win over Stanford in the Big Game when he had the highest internal grade of Cal's offensive linemen (90%) during a historic performance with the Golden Bears producing a Big Game record 636 yards of total offense including 352 on the ground that was the most by Cal in any game since the Bears rushed for 431 yards against Washington in 2008, and threw a key block to spring Marcel Dancy on a 76-yard touchdown that was Cal's longest since an 81-yard touchdown run by Brendan Bigelow at Ohio State in 2012

— Ranks among Pac-12 leaders in 2021 in per-game total offense (2nd, 271.7 ypg), completions (3rd, 20.27 cpg) and passing yards (4th, 230.3 ypg), as well as total plays (2nd, 452), with all numbers also career highs
— Has played in 36 career games with 34 starts and posted a 19-15 record as Cal's starting quarterback as well as a 19-11 mark in games in which he played at least a half

— One of only three Pac-12 players to return a kickoff for a touchdown (#T11 NCAA) in 2021 with a 99-yarder against Sacramento State the first of his career, while also adding returns of 67 and 58 yards at UCLA that were the second and third-longest of his career
— Led the 2021 team with a career-high 859 all-purpose yards, adding 10 punt returns for 70 yards and seven rushes for 57  
— Has played in 36 career games with 16 starts and has career totals of 97 receptions for 903 yards and seven touchdowns, as well as 44 punt returns for 344 yards, 20 kick returns for 549 yards and 1 TD), 14 rushes and 75 yards rushing, and five tackles
