Bears Add Commitment on Official Visit From Texas WR Martin

The Bears hosted 5-11/165 Denton Guyer WR Josiah Martin this weekend on an official visit and following the visit this evening, the sought-after receiver announced his commitment to Cal.

Martin announced his commitment on X saying, “Since I was a kid, I always dreamed of playing college football and being the best that I could be. I’m excited to say that I’m one step closer to achieving my dream. With all that being said, I’m proud to say that I’ve committed to the University of California Berkeley. #gobears

The 3 star WR was a prior commit to Boston College before decommitting during the season. The Bears were originally in his finalists before choosing BC. As a senior this season, Martin pulled in 62 catches for 1,007 yards and 12 TDs. Martin also held offers from Alabama, Virginia, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Oregon and more.
