The Bears added the fifth piece to their 2025 recruiting class today with the commitment of 6-3/305 interior offensive lineman Ben Howard today after his official visit to Cal.
"It really made me and my family and I feel at home," Howard said of his visit. "I like all the information they shared with us and liked meeting with Coach Bloesch. It's great to have an o-line coach that also is a coordinator and also seeing him develop his o-linemen. That's what I really like.
“With all that in mind, I committed to Cal.”
The 3 star Howard is a 2-year starter at OT heading into his senior at Skyridge (Lehi, UT) High School, helping lead his squad to the state championship as a soph and to the state semis last season.
He chose the Bears over Penn State, Washington State, Arizona, Arizona State and more and joins fellow 2025 commits QB Robert McDaniel, RB Jojo Solis, ILB Carter Jones and CB Kaden Cook as early commits.
