Friday Night Lights Week 5

The Golden Bears’ 2025 commits squared off for another week of contests in week five of the 2024 season. 

Here are some highlights:

Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele‍ – 2025 QB from Ewa Beach, HI. Sagapolutele and Campbell got back in the win column against Kapolei 40-23. Sagapolutele dominated with a very efficient game, going 19-25 passing for 203 yards and 4 touchdowns. Campbell is looking to go 5-0 against Keaau on 9/28.

Jae'on Young – 2025 ATH from Chatsworth, CA. Sierra Canyon came out of the bye with a tough loss against Orange Lutheran, 33-26. Young recorded 3 tackles in the game. Young will be on a bye week this week and back in action on 10/4 against Chaminade.

Meyer Swinney‍ – 2025 WR from Minneapolis, MN. Swinney got back to his dominant ways last week in Edina's convincing win over Wayzata, 48-21. Swinney was a big factor in the game hauling in 11 receptions for 167 yards and 3 touchdowns. Swinney and Edina will be back in action on 9/27 against Prior Lake.

Aiden Manutai‍ – 2025 S from Kahuku, HI. Manutai and the Red Raiders pitched a shutout against Farrington, 21-0. The final stats were not updated. Manutai will be looking to anchor the defense against Mililani on 9/28.

Jacob Houseworth‍ – 2025 TE from Fortuna, CA. Fortuna suffered a close loss against Ferndale 29-26 last week. Houseworth's stats are still pending. They will be back on 9/27 against University Prep.

Kaden Cook‍ – 2025 CB from Round Rock, TX. Cook and Stony Point suffered another close loss against Vista Ridge, 38-35. Cook was a factor on defense contributing for 5 tackles and an interception. Stony Point is looking to snap the losing streak against McNeil on 9/27.

Tre' Harrison – 2025 S from Gardena, CA. Harrison was active last week but Oaks Christian came away with the win, 13-6. Harrison had 7 tackles, a tackle for a loss, and a forced fumble. Los Alamitos is the next opponent for Harrison and Serra on 9/27.

Ben Howard‍ - 2025 OL from Lehi, UT. Howard and the Skyridge laid the hammer down in an impressive shutout win against Westlake, 40-0. The offense benefited from the defense forcing 4 recovered fumbles. Howard led the way for the O-line with 152 rushing yards and 221 passing yards. Skyridge will be playing against Lehi on 9/26.

Anthony League‍ – 2025 RB from Long Beach, CA. League displayed an impressive all-around game in the convincing win over Cabrillo, 56-13. League had 4 carries for 68 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground as well as 4 receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown through the air. Millikan has their showdown with Woodrow Wilson on 9/27.

Mike Klisiewicz‍ – 2025 OL from Brentwood, CA. Klisiewicz and Liberty won in a nail bitter against Amador Valley 34-28. Klisiewicz anchored the offensive line as they rushed for 314 yards and passed for 35. Liberty will be looking to keep their win streak against Clayton Valley Charter on 9/27.

Ike Okafor‍ – 2025 DE from Alief, TX. Alief Hastings got in the win column in a dominant fashion against Bellaire, 44-7. Okafor bounced back from his injury and recorded 2 sacks and a tackle for a loss. Okafor and company have a bye week this week and play Fulshear on 10/4.

Lebron Williams‍ – 2025 DE from Kahuku, HI. The Red Raiders pitched a shut out against Farrington 21-0. The final stats were not updated. The defense will be looking for another shut out against Mililani on 9/28.

Beckham Barney‍ – 2025 LB from Mesa, AZ. Barney and Liberty came back in a big way against Valley Vista 65-26. Barney’s stats could not be located. Liberty looks to keep the streak going against Dessert Ridge on 9/27.

Carter Jones‍ – 2025 LB from Irvine, CA. Jones and Crean Lutheran got a great shut out win over La Serna 20-0. Jones was a star on defense as he accounted for 9 tackles and a QB hurry. Jones will be on a bye week this week and back in action next week against Foothill.
