Friday Night Lights Week 8

The Golden Bears’ 2025 commits squared off for another week of contests in week eight of the 2024 season. 

Here are some highlights:

Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele – 2025 QB from Ewa Beach, HI. Sagapolutele continued his dominance in another great win over Waipahu, 55-18. Sagapolutele went 16-25 for 283 yards and 6 touchdowns. Campbell looks to complete the regular season undefeated against Kahuku on 10/19.

Jae'on Young – 2025 ATH from Chatsworth, CA. Sierra Canyon and Young got another solid win with a 50-17 victory against Notre Dame.  On O, Young had 2 receptions for 34 yards and 1 touchdown. On defense, he contributed 2 interceptions, including a pick-6 and a pass deflection. Next up for Young is Bishop Amat on 10/18.

Meyer Swinney‍ – 2025 WR from Minneapolis, MN. Swinney was absolutely dominant in the 56-0 win over Hopkins. Swinney hauled in 4 receptions for 110 yards and 4 touchdowns in another big win for Edina. Final games for the postseason have not been set yet so stay tuned for the next game!

Aiden Manutai‍ – 2025 S from Kahuku, HI. Manutai and the Red Raiders are back in the win column against Kapolei 17-10. Manutai recorded 2 tackles, .5 TFL, a forced fumble and had a kick return for 45 yards. Manutai will be going up against fellow Cal commit Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele on 10/19 as they take on Campbell.

Jacob Houseworth‍ – 2025 TE from Fortuna, CA. Fortuna suffered a close loss against Silverado, 32-28. Houseworths final stats were not located. They have a bye week this week and will be back in action on 10/26 against Del Norte.

Kaden Cook‍ – 2025 CB from Round Rock, TX. Cook continued to anchor the defense in the close win over Manor 21-18. Cook had 9 total tackles in the tight game. They look to get a streak going as they play Hutto on 10/18.

Tre' Harrison – 2025 S from Gardena, CA. Harrison was active on defense in the win over Chaminade 33-21. Harrison recorded 5 tackles to get the win streak up to 3. Serra looks to make it against Notre Dame on 10/18.

Ben Howard‍ - 2025 OL from Lehi, UT. Howard and the Skyridge finished the regular season on a 5-game winning streak with their dominant win over American Fork, 45-24. Final stats have not been uploaded. They are awaiting final playoff standings for the next game.

Anthony League‍ – 2025 RB from Long Beach, CA. League went on a tear in the big victory over Long Beach Poly 53-40. League rushed it 28 times and gained 289 yards. League was also active in the air hauling in 2 receptions for 27 yards. Millikan looks to feed him the rock more against Lakewood on 10/18

Mike Klisiewicz‍ – 2025 OL from Brentwood, CA. Liberty had a bye week this past week and will tee off against Deer Valley on 10/18.

Ike Okafor‍ – 2025 DE from Alief, TX. Okafor and company won a close one against Alief Taylor 28-27. Final stats have not been uploaded yet. Alief Hasting will have a bye week this week and be back on the 24th against Foster.

Lebron Williams‍ – 2025 DE from Kahuku, HI. The Red Raiders racked up the win over Kapolei 17-10. Williams was able to snag an interception and recorded a sack as well as 2 tackles. The Red Raiders will be back on 10/19 as they take on Campbell.

Beckham Barney‍ – 2025 LB from Mesa, AZ. Barney and Mountain View were on a bye week and will play Mesa on 10/18.

Carter Jones‍ – 2025 LB from Irvine, CA. Jones and Crean Lutheran got a solid win over El Dorado, 35-6. Jones recorded 2 tackles in the game as the win streak hits 3. Next on the list for Crean Lutheran is La Habra on 10/18.

John Tofi Jr‍ – 2025 ATH from San Franscisco, CA. Tofi Jr. and company suffered a tough loss against Valley Christian 31-13. Tofi Jr stats have not been updated. Archbishop Riordan will be going up against Bellarmine College Prep on 10/19.
