Friday Night Lights For Cal Recruits Week 9

The Golden Bears’ 2025 commits squared off for another week of contests in week nine of the 2024 season. 

Here are some highlights:

Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele‍ – 2025 QB from Ewa Beach, HI. Sagapolutele finished the regular season undefeated with their win over Kahuku 21-13. Sagapolutele went for an efficient 18-25, 239 passing yards and a touchdown. Campbell will be awaiting their next opponent with playoffs looming.

Jae'on Young – 2025 ATH from Chatsworth, CA. Sierra Canyon and Young completed the shutout over Bishop Amat, 38-0. Young played both sides of the ball hauling in 4 receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown along with one tackle. They're back on the gridiron tonight against Loyola.

Meyer Swinney – 2025 WR from Minneapolis, MN. Swinney was off last week and has first rounds of Class 6A playoffs against White Bear Lake on 10/25. Swinney finished the regular season with 55 receptions, 872 receiving yards, and 14 touchdowns.

Aiden Manutai‍ – 2025 S from Kahuku, HI. Manutai and the Red Raiders suffered a loss to Campbell, 21-13. Manutai recorded 2 tackles and a pass breakup. The Red Raiders will be going up against Mililani in the first round.

Jacob Houseworth‍ – 2025 TE from Fortuna, CA. Fortuna had a bye week but will be back on 10/25 against Del Norte.

Kaden Cook‍ – 2025 CB from Round Rock, TX. Cook was active on the defensive side of the ball but Stony Point could not pull out a win against Hutto, losing 35-21. Cook had 10 tackles, an INT, and 9 kick return yards. Stony Point looks to bounce back against Round Rock Westwood on 10/25.

Tre' Harrison – 2025 S from Gardena, CA. Harrison contributed nicely on defense in their win over NDHS 34-18. Harrison recorded 8 total tackles. Serra looks to keep the 4 game winning streak going against Bishop Amat tonight.

Ben Howard‍ - 2025 OL from Lehi, UT. Howard and the Skyridge finished the regular season 8-2 and are awaiting an opponent for their first round match up on 11/1.

Anthony League‍ – 2025 RB from Long Beach, CA. League totaled 12 car for 253 yards, 1 reception for 72 yards and 3 TDs, running his season total to 24 TDs in their win over Lakewood, 69-28. League will have the opportunity to extend the win streak against Compton tonight.

Mike Klisiewicz‍ – 2025 OL from Brentwood, CA. Liberty rolled through Deer Valley in a dominating win, 42-7. Klisiewicz and the hogs up front led the way for the balanced offense as they had 445 total yards (251 passing, 254 rushing) and only one tackle for loss. Liberty has a tough matchup against Pittsburg tonight.

Ike Okafor‍ – 2025 DE from Alief, TX. Alief Hasting suffered another loss against Foster, 21-6. Final stats have not been uploaded for Okafor. The Bears will be looking to get in the win column against Strake Jesuit on 11/1.

Lebron Williams‍ – 2025 DE from Kahuku, HI. The Red Raiders dropped a close one against Campbell, 21-13. Williams' stats were not uploaded. The Red Raiders will be going up against Mililani in the first round.

Beckham Barney‍ – 2025 LB from Mesa, AZ. Barney was very productive in Mountain View’s win over Mesa, 63-30. Barney had 11 total tackles, 3 TFL, 2 hurries and 2 pass deflections. The Toros will play Tolleson tonight.

John Tofi Jr. – 2025 ATH from San Francisco, CA. Tofi Jr. and company bounced back in a big way against Bellarmine College Prep, winning 34-7. Final stats for Tofi Jr. were not updated. Archbishop Mitty is next for the Crusaders on 10/25. Tofi and his brother Tommy will be taking another unofficial visit to Cal this weekend.
