Bears Get Their QB With 2026 San Diego QB Brady Palmer

The Bears picked up their sixth commitment from last weekend's official visitors with the addition of Cathedral Catholic QB Brady Palmer today.

The 6-3/190 QB was one of 11 uncommitted 2026 recruits on campus in Cal's first official visit weekend of the summer and became the 6th to commit -an extraordinary haul from the talented group, particularly this early.

The 3 star San Diego QB also held offers from Ohio State, Washington, Arizona, Michigan State, TCU and more before committing to Cal. Palmer threw for 16 TDs and 6 INTs as a junior for Cathedral after sitting out following his transfer.

Palmer becomes the 12th commitment of the 2026 class and the first QB, joining TE Taimane Purcell‍, RB Victor Santino‍, OT Tommy Tofi‍ , OL Elisha Faamatuainu‍, IOL Artem Korchagin‍, DL Nemyah Telona‍, edge Camron Brooks‍, ILBs Jonathan McKinley‍ and Jaxon Pyatt‍ and DBs Jayden CrowderDeon Jackson‍.

Well, who knows how this will eventually play out in two years? Will the kid be here and what will be the state of Cal football? But California produces so many good HS QBs and I'd sure like it if Cal could once again tap into that. Of course, good QBs from Hawaii, Washington, and Ohio are welcome, too!

What happened the last time a QB named Brady expressed interest in Cal in a year ending with 5?

If Ohio state wanted him in any capacity, he's good to have.

I like that this kid can throw it accurately on the run.
