Hudson story

February 16, 2018

Discouraging Raymond Hudson is not easy. The Cal tight end, who recently was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA, has had more than his share of setbacks since his decision to attend Cal in Fall 2013. But through it all the young man from Pleasanton never let himself get too depressed. He soldiered on and it has paid off.

Where once it looked as if his football career might end just as it was looking the most promising, he now has at least one more season to play the game he loves.

“Getting that phone call (from the NCAA) was one of the better times of my life,” he said in a recent interview at Memorial Stadium.
