Bears Shine in Soggy Pro Day

March 20, 2018

Cal staged its annual pro day Tuesday, and 16 Bears players from last year and season’s past strutted their stuff before a collection of scouts from most NFL teams.

For the second straight year the outdoor exercises were held under rainy skies and the occasional downpour. That might have affected the 40-yard dash times.

The Cal player who is held highest standing by the pro bird dogs, actually did not do very much on Tuesday. Linebacker/defensive end James Looney (above), the only Bear invited to last month’s scouting Combine in Indianapolis, limited himself to just position skill drills.
