Knowlton Talks Budget, Title IX, Staff Morale at Peninsula Gathering

In less than two full months on the job, Cal athletic director Jim Knowlton has been able to get a handle on what he has to deal with and come up with some ideas how to do it. All the while traveling the state and nation meeting with alumni and support groups and keeping in close touch with the campus.

He knows he has a tough assignment, is confident enough that he can fulfill it and realistic enough to realize it won’t be easy.

The combination of Carol Christ and Jim Knowlton represents the strongest leadership Cal has had around intercollegiate athletics in 30+ years. They are game changers of the highest order.

Jim has some very creative and thoughtful real estate plans. For those of you interested in subscribing, not only is the article worth reading, we will do a chat session in the near future to discuss what he's very specifically thinking about with regard to a basketball practice facility.
