Just using the terms "woke cancel culture" tells you a lot about where he aligns beliefs-wise, from who else reflexively uses those terms. And his continued relationship with Barstool tells you he doesn't give a crap about their problematic platform. A Cal degree doesn't produce a monolithic graduate block or outlook, which is a good thing. Personally, can leave his non-football takes, don't think he has a lot to say.

FYI: he didn't graduate

GO BEARS!!!!

The "woke cancel culture" battles are the stupidest things. Public shaming is as old as humanity itself.

So let me get this straight: Aaron calls criticism of his "I still own you" statement an example of political correctness and cancel culture!?

Here's the question: Where the hell is the criticism? If people connected to the Bears are offended, well, yeah, that's understandable. But is that PC culture? Is that cancel culture?

Can somebody point me to a media member (again, not associated with the Bears) who found what Rodgers said offensive? Serious question!

I follow hundreds of sports media members on Twitter, and they all found his comment hilarious.

But even if there was criticism: Who cares? Why does Rodgers care?

He did it. He knew it would be controversial? Why is he so sensitive about reaction to his comments?

And what does reaction to his comments have to do with cancel culture? Is he being canceled? Do people (again, other than the Bears) want him canceled?

The funny thing is Rodgers is denouncing people being overly sensitive and "woke," yet here he is being overly sensitive and woke about (non-existent) criticism about himself.

If they awarded medals in the Oppression Olympics, I think Rodgers may have earned at least a silver.

The point is he is declaring his distaste for "Woke" culture which is a very good thing for a public figure like Aaron to do!
Why? You can't be "cancelled", no matter who you are, if you stand by what you say, and say what you believe.

Aaron Rodgers is a Bear owner.
The difference between a right wing conspiracy and the truth is about 20 months.

To repeat: Rodgers is complaining about being overly insensitive and woke while being overly insensitive and woke about himself.

Can you answer this question: What does he and his actions have to do with P.C. culture and cancel culture?

He wants to be oppressed by cancel culture, but who the hell is oppressing him?

He suffers from the victim mentality that he denounces.

One does not have to be a victim of woke culture to oppose it. In fact, refusing to be a victim is a great reason to reject woke culture.

Also AR should pay a little more attention to Cal. Sure the student body is left wing but the Cal sports fan base is far more centrist. Maybe a lil' to the left of his Green Bay fan base, but not worlds apart.

There's a difference between denouncing woke culture and making a far-fetched claim that he is a victim of woke/cancel/P.C. culture. Again, Rodgers has that victim mentality. He denounces the wokes for having a victim mentality. yet he paints himself as some sort of victim. He is the person he denounces.

It's the trendy thing for thin-skinned celebrities to do now -- blunt any criticism by saying "the woke mob is trying to cancel me." Except there was barely any criticism for his "I own you stunt." I guess Rodgers likes to feel oppressed.
