With neither team in the mix for the Pac-12 title game, I would expect this game to be made up Dec. 5 -- like when the Big Game got postponed due to fires in 2018. Haven't spoken to anyone yet to know for sure.

My opinion: Jimmy Lake has coached his final game at Washington, and Justin Wilcox will be hired by UW within a month

Read his statement. Does it sound like someone who wouldn't dream of walking? I don't know why Bonagura would speculate that the game will be made up on a Sunday.okaydo said:With neither team in the mix for the Pac-12 title game, I would expect this game to be made up Dec. 5 -- like when the Big Game got postponed due to fires in 2018. Ah. Makes sense though Wilcox and Lake seem pretty interchangeable minus the 'hitting' part.

Wilner's opinion, yes, and while Wilcox may not be the guy at UW, it would be impossible to blame him if he left.
For that matter, it would be impossible to blame Wilcox if he decided to clean out his desk and turn in his keys this afternoon.
He didn't educate himself enough on the rules and/or didn't go to war for his team.BearSD said:

They probably took the J&J vaccine which has less efficacy and duration? Also this is probably happening everywhere, just we tested everyone after multiple symptomatic COVID positive cases and found more. Pretty clear the entire college football world is sticking their head in the sand if they don't bother to test already vaccinated players ever under any circumstance.pingpong2 said:
The heck did the team do, have a makeout session amongst themselves? It's amazing that a 99% vaccinated team can have so many postive cases.
Knowing our luck, this will be ground zero for a new highly contagious variant dubbed the Cal virus.

Were you one of the dopes who wanted us to quit last year prior to beating Oregon? At least play for the Axe next week given how bad Furd is.sycasey said:Honestly, I'm in favor of just ending the season right now.BearSD said:

IIRC, there was an outbreak on the New York Yankees during the baseball season and the vaxxed players had received the J&J vax.sosheezy said:They probably took the J&J vaccine which has less efficacy and duration? UHS told us we could be arrested for refusing to test as vaccinated individuals with no symptoms. If I understand correctly, I can go to San Francisco, steal a bunch of items in a Walgreens, and not be arrested. However, if I refuse a test in Berkeley, I can be… https://t.co/dfCiELikMi

In terms of duration and protection against breakthrough infection, Moderna > Pfizer >> J&J.
Correct. Probably lots of college athletes got the J&J vax, because it only has one shot, and as long as they are asymptomatic they don't get tested and keep playing.sycasey said:It's almost certain that other programs just aren't testing like Cal is.sosheezy said:They probably took the J&J vaccine which has less efficacy and duration? . . . which is actually how the vaccine is supposed to work. We as a society have to decide when asymptomatic "outbreaks" among vaccinated people are acceptable risk.BearSD said:Correct.
