3 years of eligibility left too. This isn't just a rental. For a guy who was rated 10th in the country at his position coming out of HS and has his kind of potential this is a big deal. He could develop into a big gamechanger and one of the best players in the conference if not all of CFB. He's built to play on Sundays

I met Andre Carter after one of the Cal practices when he played here and he was the most chiseled and intimidating guy I have ever seen in person. He looked like he was created for a metaverse game

Welcome Xavier. Agree excellent offer list.

Any explanation for the move other than Cal's excellent academic reputation (#1 in the country public or private).

That is a selling point that many of Wilcox's predecessors failed to properly exploit.
Too many of them thought Cal's academic reputation would discourage recruits. But for the right recruits I see it as a positive. For someone who wants the best. Why not also strive for the best academics that will help you long after your playing days are over.

No, that's way off. Everett Johnson can't be older than 22 or 23.
