With all these crazy ideas that just get laughed at by everyone else:

Is this going to run AR back into the arms of Butte College in the pre game intros?

I'll tell you I think it hurts our big10 chances. Pac 12 was a laughing stock for the way it handled 2020 season. Cal is a laughing stock for the way it handles everything. We don't deserve big time sports. Bunch of nannies.

We fully deserve to get laughed at and mocked over this. I'm sick and tired of continuously living up to our snowflake moniker.

There needs to be checks and balances for instances when groups and factions go off the rails. I think that's our biggest problem in California these days - we have no checks and balances.

Am I missing something? Not seeing a draconian policy relative to most public sector orgs in California? And not seeing a requirement regarding regular flu shots? All UCs follow the same policy, so UCLA is following it too, all the way to the Big Ten. Nothing City of Berkeley related.

You aren't seeing those things because you live in reality. It's sunny out!

That's the covid policy, but no mention of flu.

However the daily cal seems to have picked up the story too:

https://www.dailycal.org/2022/09/01/uc-berkeley-to-require-masks-for-those-without-flu-vaccine/

Did the daily cal pick up some BS story? At the moment it seems so?

As far as football goes for the fall, no one is requiring a PCR test for anything in the USA as far as I know - in situations where the CDC recommends a test, an antigen test is acceptable so there should be no cases where players with previous infections are getting a positive PCR due to small virus reminants from weeks/months past and being held out.

Quote:

  • Masks are strongly recommended, but not required, indoors regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.
  • (Masks are required during flu season if not vaccinated for flu.)
  • Outdoors, masks are optional for everyone.

Hope I'm wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me if right before elections there's some new pandemic, and some new shutdowns.

Again, I hope I'm wrong. But if there's a way to screw Cal......... (not to mention the country).........

Honestly, I really doubt anyone is going to be checking people's flu shot cards, so this probably results in no real world impact. I also don't understand the policy, though. Why require masks for flu but not Covid?

Apparently the city of Berkeley has top secret documents lying around in plain view as well. That's what Q said.

And 43 of the top secret folders were sitting empty on Mayor Arreguin's desk?
