2025 junior ryder cup in new york: 2nd day matches

congrats to callixte alzas winning 3&2 his mixed four ball match today at nassau country club on long island, tomorrow during the final day action the young frenchman gotta 8:45 am match in singles at bethpage black which will be an unreal golfing experience with the epic ryder cup arena infrastructure buildout

but there's lightning in the forecast for tomorrow which is also potentially messing up shocky's 9:00 am tee time at liberty national taking the club's private ferry from wall street across the water by lady liberty (a gift from the french to the united states back in the day) to the clubhouse's dock in new jersey

alzas currently gotta 2-1 record in this global event which has produced a lotta future ryder cup players, yeah berkeley grads (except that low gpa dumb azz oski, how the **** did he evah get accepted??) compete on golf's largest stages at the cathedrals of golf, let's go callixte!!

boston college tixs for saturday's game:

over tonite's dinner of tasty penne bolognese at bar pitti my daughter taylor with her smart azz phone advised her dumb azz dad that the bc tix website indicates that the acc east vs west gameday is SOLD OUT!!

so then she quickly searched seat geek & found 3 (slim wadie will be flying in for the game & sunday golf at the multiple us open venue the country club of brookline) tixs together on the 50 yard line behind the cal bench which approximates shocky's perch at memorial stadium (far enough back to see the entire field but also close enough to hear the violent collisions)

tay may be a graduate of asu (the world's #1 ranked stripper college) but she don't got no flip phone thx goodness

shocky is a casual fan to cal women's basketball & got no contacts (he wuz close to lindsay gottlieb back in the day who introduced him to sabrina ionesco & her parents on her official visit to berkeley) within the program, gabby is no longer listed on the roster & is not in the transfer portal...unless she got academic issues that need to remain private perhaps u will shed some light on the facts re: her current status instead of ur kinda smug comment??

richard, wut is a fact is that since greg richardson in conjunction with wyking jones & jim knowlton with the full support of eric mcdonough & "fans" like u (and most disappointing to me at the time my partner hoop dreams) decided on the unilateral termination of cal's monster class is that the men's basketball team has lost a mind numbing astounding 172 games the last 8 seasons, attendance at haas pavilion has plummeted from almost 11,000 to a couple of thousand at best & there are ZERO mcdonald all americans roaming the newell floor anymore...is any of this inaccurate??

these days cal men's basketball got non existent marketing/branding (shocky cannot even name one player on the current roster), jaylen brown wants nothing to do with the program & the bears are destined to be a mid tier acc team at best or looking at another 20+ losses season in a cold empty haas on gamedays this season

yeah shocky got walked to his car & got zero interest now in getting financially involved with the "insiders" running the football nil program which is critical to the team's success...maybe that will change if the cal basketball program hires a berkeley grad general manager to heal all the fractured relationships but that **** isn't gonna happen tomorrow

the monster is kinda curious, do u think running off & disrespecting diehard fans is a smart strategy for building a championship program??

with the final day singles matches moved from bethpage black to nassau country club due to inclement weather, callixte alzas battled hard on a back & forth match on the front nine but ultimately lost 3&2 to a 2026 auburn commit who won the usa pga junior championship last month at the challenging pga frisco hanse course last month with an unreal 19 under par

yeah the ELITE level of play in the junior ryder cup is on one of the game's largest stages & mon ami callixte should be proud of his 2-2 record...alzas got the potential upside to develop into one of the greatest men's golf california bears of all time!!

2025 ryder cup: day 1 pairings announced

haas biz ad grad & 2 time major champion collin morikawa is gonna go out in match #3 with harris english against rory & tommy...morikawa's pairing wuz telegraphed to shocky when collin & harris wuz paired together for the first 2 rounds of the silverado tournament, it wuz obvious to the monster this wuz not an incidental pairing when on the 1st hole of the thursday 1st round collin made a nice 6 footer for an up & down sandy par 4 & harris came over & kinda fiery fist bumped our guy (that **** never happens in pro golf)

with massive crowds (prez trump will be attending & security measures are gonna be ramped up) following just 4 groups & taylor's disinterest in the ryder cup, the plan for tomorrow morning is to follow collin for an hour & then we'll drive up to newport rhode island (tay wants to do the gilded age mansion tour) for the nite before the drive up to boston for saturday's 3:30 pm kickoff in chestnut hill

fantastic must listen commentary by paws with wilcox, shocky is 100% in agreement that if guys didn't learn life lessons last week re: the importance of being focused/dialed in to play 60 minutes (75 plays) of physical violent ******* football then they're never gonna the lesson & they don't need to disrespect the california golden bears jersey going forward with that kinda not locked in ******* bull****



shocky knew we wuz in trouble at snapdragon with the eerily quiet pregame warm ups with very little noise or energy, the entire staff including the head coach need to be talking & taking the pulse of every ******* player that's made this east coast biz trip & not be afraid to speak up if guys are not mentally ready to ******* go from the 1st snap and if necessary adaptively switch out guys from the starting line up/playing rotations at the last minute

on some level this is the most intriguing game in ages, guys got violently exposed last weekend, how are the gonna respond this saturday, are they gonna back down like spineless mother******* or play like ******* ruthless alpha predators??

2025 ryder cup update: 1st day matches

playing with harris english in friday foursomes collin morikawa & his partner got blitzed by rory & tommy 5&4 in front of a surprisingly muted home crowd on a kinda toothless bethpage black (minimal rough & soft greens due to the recent showers)

collin hit the team's only exceptional shot on the par 4 9th hole hooking a short iron around a looming tree to a couple of feet for a tap in birdie putt by english...but he's continuing to misread greens while misjudging the speed of putts which is disappointing in that the black's greens are relatively flat & not tumultuous in their slopes/contouring (2026 us open venue shinnecock hills way further down the long island expressway & route 27 is a totally different putting examination)

morikawa is not on the tee sheet for tomorrow morning & it's possible he will be benched in the afternoon too until sunday's singles when all 12 americans will square off against a euro (who unlike the greedy azz americans are NOT getting paid & are competing for FREE on behalf of their continent!!)

beautiful evening atlantic ocean breezes here in newport rhode island (home of the sailing america's cup), taylor tole her dad that she's so glad cal is now in the "east coast conference" and not the pac 12

weather: 2nd straight roadie saturday nite with kinda balmy 70s weather in new england (the region, NOT the band)

boston college gameday parking: wut a ******* ****show!!...there are police officers & security personnel on every street corner near the stadium with the majority of roads in the affluent neighborhood closed off for traffic...we ended up sneaking into the chestnut hill boarding school parking lot when inspector javert wuz taking a leak or something

boston college stadium: an old school deal with a weathered vibe but literally not a bad viewing sightline in the entire stadium which wuz a reported 44,500 sold out but don't believe everything u hear/read

eagles fans: this is the most quiet fanbase in college football which is a function of the decibel 11 pa system & amplified band

run fits: the inside backers are not gonna luv monday's film study but luke's game winning INTERCEPTION wuz clutch ice in his veins **** that had the sizeable bears contingent screaming from the rooftops with a joy unknown to mankind!!

short yardage: the jks failed sneak seemed like a rushed playcall with maybe not the right elephant blocking personnel & the stuffed goal line 4th down playcall seem kinda telegraphed but at the end of the day cal's monster offensive line needs to improve their physical violent attitude/mentality in the red zone

hezekiah masses: NOBODY in college football in 2025 breaks on the ball with more closing SPEED than zeke!!


mason mini: pacifcia's ocean surf god is a ******* MAN among boyz!!


penalties & kickoff coverage (other than javien plummer's violent tackle on the final kickoff in front of the hyped cal bench): the california golden bears (4-1) gotta clean that up if we're gonna take care of biz next saturday nite against duke at 7:30 pm, do u got ur tix(s)??

cal fans: multiple bc fans tole us they wuz impressed with the numbers & crowd noise generated by the true bears (not talking about losers like bobo, philly bear, trumpanzee & doubtful bear that root against the bears from their stained sofas watching on tv which is a sorry azz way to live ur life not that we're here to judge, cal's monster class is a judgement free zone)


the celebration: wut a fantastic FUN celebration in the cal sections with bears fans from other sections like shocky's 50 yard line perch converging postgame to do the EPIC "u tell the story" chant as one as the always smiling jaron ran by with a lei around his neck after his postgame tv interviews to excitedly fistpump the team's appreciation for the rabid fan base as we collectively celebrated THE MAGIC OF CAL FOOTBALL!!

yeah this **** is getting LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

offensively qb1 darian mensah from slo is an ELITE d1 gunslinger who threw for 268 yards on a highly efficient 22 of 28 passes with ZERO interceptions on the road, the TAKERS had better be focused/dialed in for their biggest challenge of the year & the bears d staff need to figure out how to pressure mensah in the pocket before he goes off for 400+ yards next saturday nite at 7:30 pm at memorial stadium...and former cal recruit rb1 nate shepard is the real ******* deal rushing for 168 yards on only 15 carries

defensively the blue devils manhandled the orange potent attack allowing only 314 yards (a stingy 3.1 yards per rush & 6.2 yards per pass)

yeah the blue devil (3-2) are gonna play 60 minutes of physical violent football with skilled offensive talent on gameday, are the bears gonna bring their a games or mail this **** in??

slim wadie & shocky played multiple us open venue the country club at brookline this afternoon which has been fabulously restored by gil hanse, it's a legit cathedral of golf!!

shocky's cogenial caddie tristan is an aspiring journalism major at boston college & tole me that the student body thought last nite's game wuz gonna be a rout for the eagles based upon the bears 34-0 loss in san diego....apparently the key factors in the "sold out" stadium wuz it being parent's weekend at bc & also a much larger than anticipated cal fanbase buying tixs

collin morikawa tied in today's singles match, congrats to the NON PAID euros on the victory!!...the highlights for collin included a laser 225 yard uphill 2nd shot to 10 feet on the par 5 4th hole & then draining the putt for an eagle 3 followed by another hole winning 20 foot birdie putt on the par 4 5th hole
