o-line: the shockster wuz straight up 100% wrong, the bears don't got a MONSTER offensive line at this point, they honestly got a mini monster offensive line that did not impose their will tonite at memorial stadium, right tackle frederick williams iii had a game to forget & practices this week should focus on developing the lt2

defense bears defense: despite cal winning the time of possession, the d wuz candy azz soft with poor tackling, dumb azz personal conduct including facemask grabbing penalties & giving up 45 points to an offense with a mid (at best) offensive line

linebackers: heading into the season the shockster wuz concerned about the inside backers but the worstest room play tonite wuz the ****show performance with misplayed outside gap controls/no ability to harass nico turned in by the outside linebackers (saw justin beadles in the tunnel not dressed out)...right now the bears gotta couple 2027 apex predator edge defender high school commits that need to be physically/mentally ready for IMMEDIATE playing time next season in berkeley

tight ends: the best room in the program right now, mason is the team MVP

wide receivers: coach ike played a tight nfl style playing rotation with 36 year old jordan king as the 4th wideout, the starters got obvious talents but failed to make plays in the clutch which wuz disappointing

JKS: got outplayed by nico, expect a bounce back game at syracuse

run game: no discernible improvement in the o-line creating gaps but rb1 adam still rushed for 120 yards, he's an ELITE talent

game production: as usual jay & jenny (literally EVERY fan/donor who i spoke to re: this duo is extremely disappointed with chancellor lyon's inexplicable decisions to promote and retain them, he's lost a lotta political stock/respect from the university's biggest supporters) ****** up everything they are still responsible for to the surprise of no-one other than apparently the chancellor who is ok with the piling up of lawsuits against the athletic department: the public address announcer wuz incoherent with the messed up sound system, only a limited # of food vendors in the field club with long lines despite a SOLD OUT crowd & televisions that wuz not working in the esp sections, just ******* unreal, right rich??

Hi Shocky: Thanks again for the lunch yesterday, that turned out to be the highlight of Saturday! To add to the gameday experience feedback, I would add we missed the entire pre-game due to the security bottleneck at the North Entrance to CMS due to lack of staff doing scans. As far as the game, I was impressed by UCLA's team spirit. I was disappointed in Cal's defense performance overall given Tosh's background. Every Cal drive it seemed we had to convert several 3rd downs, while UCLA when in gear cruised through our D like a hot knife through butter.

callixte alzas (67 & 70, 7 under par, tied for 18th): FUN day walking all 36 holes with callixte which is around 15 miles/24 kilometers, the true freshman parisian is a very SPECIAL talent and gave me an ice cold water unsolicited during the middle of the 2nd round and that kinda thoughtfulness is just a reflection of really great parenting

callixte is +2 athletic & maybe an inch taller than me & morikawa but with a stronger leg base from which he unleashes his rickie fowler vibe swing...his short game is unreal with soft hands & his imagination is remarkable (he tole me that links golf is his favorite type of golf!!)...on the 560 yard par 5 17th hole in the 1st round alzas pounded his 3rd chip shot into a steep embankment which then skidded over the hill & then put on the brakes for a kick in birdie

the alzas putting stroke is straight up money with a clean uncluttered stroke & he drove it within 50 yards on the slightly downwind 431 yard par 4 9th hole in the 2nd round with his preferred right to left drawing flight trajectory

yeah callixte est fantastique!!

fun facts: competing as an individual xihuan chang is 6 under par & tied for 20th via rolling the rock to 11 birdies...also competing as an individual fellow poly hopa/hopa matthew miyamoto is 5 under par & tied for 29th with an explosive 12 birdies & an eagle...trevor cox is 4 under par & tied for 36th but much more importantly tole me before the round that despite living 15 minutes from legoland he's only been there a couple of times, the monster tole trevor that's just messed up!!
