this morning shocky & wayne's world walked the o-club with our golf bags over our shoulders as the 1st tee time (7:00 am) out on the gil hanse renovated lake course...the us open layout is absolutely spectacular now with hundreds of trees removed which has opened up spectacular views of the pacific ocean, the golden gate bridge & the downtown skyline plus dramatically improved much firmer conditioning
the lake is now justifiably a world top 50 course just like my beloved san francisco golf club...these 2 courses remind the monster of why he luvs this special cosmopolitan city by the bay on a perfect 80 degree sunny day in beautiful cali
after our tasty dungeness crab caesar salads with freshly baked sourdough bread, wayne's world retired to the club's very social bar scene on the veranda overlooking the par 3 8th hole but day drinking with dudes is never shocky's deal so he thanked ww & drove the pacific coast highway a couple of miles north to the golden gate park par 3 course
shocky paid the 24 bucks green fee & got paired up with 3 mid 20 bros of silicon valley wearing t-shirts & surfer board shorts along with backwards caps, we got along great!!!...the recently restored 9 is architecturally fun, playable & encourages creative shotmaking with the backboards, sideboards & trap doors along with the aesthetically pleasing exposed sand dunes...we ended up betting for 17,000,000 rwanda currency a hole (around a quarter) & there wuz a lotta laughter & **** talking for sure!!
