monster injury update: difference maker corey dyches is expected back this week, coupled with jack endries gives the bears arguably the most dynamic/explosive tight end duo in the nation!!Cal is back on the field this week as it heads out to face Wake Forest for a Friday matchup in Winston-Salem. Is that the same Jaylen Brown that just missed his 3rd straight game with a hip flexor injury? I am in agreement that they need to look hard at the S&C program and also include increased flexibility programs.Shocky1 said:
bear force one, the zony transfer from ohio state is an ELITE talent with +1 athleticism & SPEED
kyion redshirted one season as a buckeye so he's still got 3 years of eligibility as a bear when granted the green light by the cal football medical staff...and they're very careful with guys long term health, we all would luv to see kyion & tobias on the field!!
overall, the wake forest game will be the healthiest & closet to a full strength roster for the 2024 california golden bears which are operating in brian johnson's yoga free environment with a lotta program damaging injuries which wilcox is just passing off as blah blah blah "football is a violent sport" blah blah blah vapid coachspeak which disregards the growing role of yoga in professional sports, just ask jaylen brown

6956, shocky sent 2 emails to brian johnson the last couple of years inviting a discussion (during the nba offseason) with both him & jaylen brown re: the benefits of yoga in reducing sports injuries, he never responded which tells me all i need to know re: any authentic interest in the subject matter...i've since learned he wuz successfully fighting a cancer battle but great programs have other personnel responding to the team's needs regardless of any individual's availability/circumstances
the monster (whose client base includes a nba organization) has talked to enough players, bearents & staff to know that beyond stretching there is no serious yoga component currently in the cal football program, it's also painfully obvious that the # & severity of injuries is well beyond collegiate football norms & that something is very wrong with the current s&c program (if this wuz the nfl with that track record he would already be fired)
as u perhaps know, the never-ending nba season is basically irrelevant other than playoff home court seeding/nba draft priority which means sitting out key players on a precautionary basis is no big deal unlike college football which only has 12-13 critical games each season

I caddied for Jay at the El Paso All American golf tournament that year and my friend caddied for Curtis. Jay was the nicest guy ever. I remember he played with Bob Goalby signature irons and I asked him why and he said Goalby was his uncle. Curtis was super grumpy. It's interesting because Arnold Palmer went to Wake which is why a bunch of guys back in the day went there, but aside from Will Zalatoris who's from Dallas and was snubbed by UT, I don't think they've had a ton of talent in recent years. These days the big southern teams seem to be Bama and Vandy.ursa carolina said:
Since this is really a golf thread, our group into a member of the Wake Forest golf team in the 70's that won multiple national championships. The 75 team is referred as the best team ever, with Jay Haas and Curtis Strange leading the Deacs to a 33 stroke victory. Haas won the individual and Strange finished 3rd after Jerry Pate at Bama. Really incredible.
They will be honored on the field tonight.

Yellow helmet with Cf as well. Confuse the enemy. Or a different one on each side...Econ141 said:ursa carolina said:
