1) it wuz clear that the sub 3.0 gpa young man wuz struggling academically in berkeley with all the time demands including serving as the bears qb1
2) shocky is almost 5'9"+ 165 lbs (just like collin morikawa) & sam wuz the same size, it wuz obvious that he wuz gonna get seriously injured as a ridiculously undersized running qb1 who really would've benefited from a blueshirt year to acclimate academically & gain weight/strength
3) sam also had family issues to contend with including his dad being in prison
shocky got ZERO interest in professional team sports (despite have a nba organization as a client), the monster luvs college sports because he believes in the potential societal changing aspect of true student athletes (particularly those from lower socioeconomic/1st in family to graduate from college backgrounds) earning life altering degrees at elite academic institutions such as cal, stanford & the ivy league in their quests to earn generational wealth to aspirationly elevate their families/communities

I'll echo your well wishes for Sam and his family. Sam has another little sister who is probably 8 years old now and she also looks up to him as a hero. Sam's mother, Shantay, seems like a strong woman and one who will support her son through thick and thin. She definitely taught Sam to be polite and respectful to strangers, so hats off to her.
I hope Sam transfers to a school that is the right level for him to be a contributor (at WR, I would think) and will also encourage him to work towards a degree. We are rooting for him here in AZ.
