^ fun fact: berkeley grad/monster punter & 3rd baseman jerry goff is a longtime monster reader & has instilled healthy lifestyle values (family, academics, golf, china palace, warm weather, etc.) in his 3.7 gpa son

If JKS is in fact in play for us again, how does this affect the Devin Brown situation? Could we still end up with both guys?

force, that's not 100% clear but probably not, both of these guys wanna be the qb1 this fall

keep in mind that chandler rodgers played a year at junior college, could this expand his eligibility as qb2 ??...also cj harris did not enter the transfer portal despite walking with the seniors at the 2024 big game in berkeley

as the world turns in berkeley#

justin wilcox: tireless worker who cares about the academic goals/ambitions of his student athletes, an ELITE defensive mind that continually fails to get involved with offensive & special teams...an intensely private person in a profession that favors extroverts vs introverts

brian johnson: good person that beat cancer but a FAILED s&c coach that needs to be replaced later this month, wilcox not having the stomach for this will doom 2025 once again to epidemic INJURIES & yet another underachieving season...this is by far the #1 issue holding back the cal football program

mike bloesch: very detailed offensive line coach that lost focus on o-line development this past year tryna unsuccessfully juggle both his room & play calling duties...not an emotionally available person due to his stoic personality, mike stubbornly refuses to listen to the more than half of the staff's preference for less interior run schemes in favor of PITCHOUTS...this is the #2 issue adversely impacting cal fb

peter sirmon: an outstanding defensive coordinator & ELITE developer of inside backers, his biggest miscue of 2025 wuz not giving hunter & liam more snaps early in the season particularly in the miami game which resulted in cade & teddye gassed in the 4th quarter & unable to tackle the canes qb1 & wr1 in open space

ryan longwell: former nfl kicker/low handicap golfer it's mind boggling to me that ryan didn't see in mateen the collin morikawa like ELITE precision in his stroke coupled with an ice in his veins mental make up...if ryan can put together a deal (outlined in an earlier post) for mateen then cal's special teams could be the best in the acc next season, otherwise more lost games because of missed field goals is a real possibility

aristotle thompson: likable coach with a remarkable family but has never produced a nfl draft running back, his failing to advocate for PITCHOUTS like ron gould did back in the day has cost jaydn millions of dollars

burl toler: one of the best west coast recruiters with his sincere ability to build relationships & sell berkeley academics, burl has also built a now ingrained zero BLOCKING culture in his wideout room which has hurt the nfl scouting evaluations of his players

mike saffell: the engaging FUN haas berkeley biz ad grad is the future head coach in berkeley (our version of asu's home grown dillingham), would be nice if he elevated the BLOCKING expectations in the tight end room before that day gets here

sterlin gilbert: a gifted developer of quarterback talent, he also shares bloesch's texas high school background of smashmouth only interior runs/**** run game schemes

andrew browning: good not great coach in a tough spot recruiting historically the lowest gpa position in college football, andrew is a plus for the program

vic so'oto: more fiery this season is a real plus given the kinda buttoned up personalities of wilcox & sirmon, his earlier recruiting mistakes with low gpa prospects are now in the rear view mirror

tre watson & terrence brown: the PERFECT coaches in this era of college free agency, the are both FUN & mentoring their room both on & the off the field to become remarkable young berkeley grads...and if a player has nfl physical tools, they will get them to the next level of their dreams & PAID in the national football league!!

marshall cherrington: a high energy recruiter who juggles well, marshall has learned from his earlier wasted time/resources recruitments of low gpa academic silver bullets, struggling academically students will be the 1st to bail from berkeley when a better nil offer rolls in

valerie grimaldo: berkeley grad in 3 years is very creative & got a good PONYTAIL!!

andrew mcgraw: the most qualified next ad to hit the ground running (cal athletics is running out of time under knowlton's cluster****) with a football first approach to everything which will help finance all other sports...needs to be more assertive in guiding wilcox thru his blind side

sierra achin: the berkeley grad is a huge upgrade in the cfo role from the anti football/basketball agenda tom lowry who retired last year after carrying out the knowlton driven financial tsunami of loans from the central campus which will never have the future revenues for repayment

beth tafolla-voetsch: a competent administrator, her conference call with donors scheduled for this friday soliciting internal nil fundraising is NOT gonna be well received just like the earlier zoom call (described to me as a "timeshare sales pitch") requesting funding for all the non revenue sports...NOBODY wants to pay for worthless bureaucrats & only a fool would think any monies directed for the internal nil program won't be misdirected

markeisha everett: an arrogant self promoter who decision to not offer FREE tixs to all students & also failing to capitalize on the professional sports team tix competition departing from the bay area marketspace has resulted in tens of thousands empty seats/a lotta tarps at memorial stadium & high school crowds at haas pavilion for both the men's & women's basketball teams

jennifer simon-o'neil: the one truly evil as **** person in the athletic department, still tryna lobby for internal nil dollars to be distributed to the star quidditch player instead of the starting offensive line

james knowlton: the general is financially illiterate & a pathological liar (both promising the basketball practice facility which is never gonna get built under his watch & deceiving the uc board of regents last months utilizing 2023 financial data instead of projected 2025 numbers while lyons quietly played along with his deception), he's NOT liked by the football program or even his own staff other than jenny & marekisha who like him are not employable anywhere else on planet earth

rich lyons: means well & loves cal sports in a profound way but after working decades on campus his decision to not terminate knowlton re: the mckeever fiasco via the chancellor's office guard dog dan mogulof is beyond disappointing, if rich can't embolden himself to make decisions his tenure in a time of existential financial challenges barreling towards berkeley his legacy will be just that of another bureaucrat who got paid to look out the window at the campanile on a wintery december day

lance cooper: the program mvp, cal football would be unrecognizable without his involvement

kevin kennedy: see above, his pro bono work pencils out at about 5 cents an hour for his thousands of unbillable hours

randy scott: cal men's basketball biggest madsen confidante & football/basketball landlord of the year

oski: got replaced by buc-ee, huge ******* upgrade!!

Yoga does not prevent violent collisions.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
^^ napa valley, multiple nfl organizations including the new orleans saints got full time yoga personnel, the benefits include mental health & INJURY mitigation

https://instagr.am/p/CxjbmRarjZJ
with a nba organization as a current client, shocks can tell you that virtually every nba team has incorporated yoga as an essential component of their s&c programs...everybody from lebron james to jaylen brown (who the monster helped facilitate his yoga practice back in the day, jabari bird resisted my assistance) practices yoga/meditation daily in a sport with the greatest athletes on planet earth who are often engaged in high speed violent collisions with virtually no (outside of their junk) protective padding

https://soundcloud.com/the-tribe-akashic/keep-me-company-feat-master-wendu-tae-haru

at a cal basketball year end banquet back in the day taylor & her dad visited with steve & his son nick (walk on & later a student coach) kerr for 30+ minutes in discussing yoga while the other guests got drunk (that's not our deal) in an adjacent room...steve tole us he got a multiple times a week yoga practice at a studio in berkeley (his favorite position is the pigeon pose which helps his messed up back) & that yoga/meditation is a big part of the golden state warriors athletic conditioning which wuz once optional but is now mandatory

We did Yoga in high school for football in the 80's. It is not new at all. Just a normal part building flexibility and strength. I have to believe that Cal players all do that today.

^^ alky, agreed that yoga does not help prevent violent collisions but it does minimize the extent of INJURIES from such collisions

but let's be real here, the most important purpose of yoga is doing the hang with curvy brunette yoga females wearing lululemon & ****

We did Yoga in high school for football in the 80's. It is not new at all. Just a normal part building flexibility and strength. I have to believe that Cal players all do that today.
87, shocky has spoken to dozens of players & bearents, yoga is currently NOT a part of the cal football program (stretching is not yoga)

force, that's not 100% clear but probably not, both of these guys wanna be the qb1 this fall

keep in mind that chandler rodgers played a year at junior college, could this expand his eligibility as qb2 ??...also cj harris did not enter the transfer portal despite walking with the seniors at the 2024 big game in berkeley

as the world turns in berkeley#
Isn't CJ Harris a Sophomore? Is he just way ahead of schedule in being able to graduate?

I do not do yoga regularly, but my take is the stretching, strength and balance work absolutely would help an athlete avoid many types of injuries including hamstring, knee, shoulder and other types of non-impact injuries, which there are many in football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, etc.

flounder, tyson ruffins wuz originally a stanford commit but wuz then thrown a curve ball when stanford admissions denied his acceptance as a nevada transfer...ruffins got a strong 3.8 gpa in high school but his grades at nevada dropped significantly with the time demands of wolfpack football

so tyson then made a commitment to cal but now stanford gm andrew luck is working to get the admissions decision reversed which led to an interesting phone call with the cal staff, seriously doubt that we will see tyson in a bears uniform except for seeing him in red & white at the 2025 big game in palo alto

ruffins will be removed from the monster/doechii gpa commitment listing next time it's posted unless there are new developments but this isn't a 100% done deal yet for either bay area school

stanfordium, yeah cj harris wuz a sophomore this season in terms of football eligibility but wuz at ohio university for 4 years before heading to berkeley...it's possible that with full+ academic coursework this spring/summer that harris could graduate before next fall which resulted in him walking on senior day

the monster's take is that cj got elite size & length along with an explosive burst when running with the ball, he definitely could earn the qb2 role during 2025 spring ball & be only one violent play away from starting for the bears next fall

lotta bears walk more than once on senior day, every moment with moms (who make many unselfish sacrifices in helping us build brighter futures) & giving her flowers while walking in the rays of a beautiful sun is a very special day on planet earth

love you, moms (and thank you)#

cal's monster class recruiting update:

after today's official visit to berkeley, the staff has extended an offer to 6'4" 240 lbs simon mapi from san mateo community college which is a pipeline program for the bridge toll mafia thx to benji palu...the aragon high school grad should have 4 years of eligibility due to the recent ncca ruling expanding the eligibility of jc players

the all state 1st teamer is a violent blocker with a non stop motor in the running game & sure handed threat in the passing game

simon is NOT a dumb azz, he got an overall 3.47 gpa & been named a dean's list honoree

^ fun facts: max is funny/insightful as ****, homa got rid of his ugly azz master card logo on his shirts (thx god) & his new much improved (and needed) fashionista lululemon look includes getting his teeth capped into pearly white smiles!!

2025 pga tournament at kapalua plantation: 2nd round update

yeah 9 birdies & missing only 1 green in regulation (which wuz on the fringe of the par 4 6th hole with a lightning downhill putt which resulted in his only bogey in 2 days) resulted in koa's dad collin morikawa going low with a 65 is now in 2nd place at 15 under par (wowza!!) only a stroke behind hideki heading into tomorrow...collin's improvement in his imaginative short game shots around the greens compared to his cal & junior amateur days in so cal is unreal!!

shooting a 2nd straight 69 while hitting 31 of 36 greens in regulation for max homa is great news re: the new equipment (except the same titleist ball) as the bogey free round around the mountainous plantation course...max only birdied 1 of the 4 scoreable par 5s today, gotta clean that up mañana...currently at 8 under par & tied for 23rd

why is ben an only 6 under par after a second straight 70 & tied for 36th place??...in the 1st round ben pulled his tee ball into the jungle on the par 3 8th over the ravine for a double bogey, today he overcorrected & pushed his ball into the deadly bunker behind the green for another double bogey 5...ben, regardless of the pin placement in the 3rd round on the 8th hole just hit a ******* 7 iron into the middle of the green & 2 putt for a par, got it?

shocks luv this guy, 6'75" 320 lbs transfer portal offensive tackle brandon sneh from tiny wagner college (on staten island, new york) & high school in philly, he got 2 years of eligibility before he's inducted into the national football league hall of fame or something!!

brandon is gonna visit a lotta cold azz igloo communities in a bunch of truck stop towns before his official visit to cali in the cosmopolitan san francisco bay area on january 12/13th, this guy is a mamushi killah and a star star star star star star

minnesota golden gophers 24
virginia tech hokies 10

when the gophers (8-5) dig a hole to berkeley on saturday september 13th it's gonna be without senior qb1 max brosmer along with 4 of the starting o-lineman (1 to the nfl, 1 to ohio state & 2 outta eligibility) & wr1 daniel jackson) in a rebuilt pj fleck offense

but give the minnesota d credit for limiting the hokies to only 223 total yards despite their star linebacker cory lindenberg (an evan weaver kinda playmaker) declaring for the nfl draft & the outta of eligibility db1 & de1...this is a well coached big 10 physical d

when the bears visit virginia tech (6-7) in rural blacksburg (the homestead resort's cascade course the site of the cal 2004 ncca men's golf championship is 2 hours away) this fall it's gonna face an offense that will be without talented rb1 brayshul tuten (1,159 yards rushing in 2024) & 2 wrs that have declared for the nfl draft but will return dangerous dual threat +1 athletic qb1 kyron drones

defensively the hokies are relatively young but will be missing 3 defenders that have declared for the 2025 nfl draft & numerous portal departures, the bears elite dangerous duo of jaydn & jaivian should be able to run to open spaces in this acc battle in a hostile further afar venue

it is not clear at this time how further afar from blacksburg is the nearest buc-ee's

cal's 2025 football schedule is gonna be EPIC (do u got ur po's ankle monitoring device clearance for travel??)#

2025 pga tournament at kapalua plantation: 2nd round update

KABBBOOOOMMM, one of the greatest rounds in the history of cal golf as collin "the prince of front street" morikawa shot an unreal 11 under par 62!!

morikawa is now initiating his swing this season with a subtle left knee flex ala matthew wolf & his world class ball striking has resulted in 52 of 54 greens hit in regulation thru 3 rounds & an enfuego opening stretch of holes on the hilly coore & crenshaw masterpiece (the best course in hawaii, nanea is a distant 2nd)

honestly watching collin play golf evokes the same emotions at watching jaylen brown do his thing in the haas airspace & jaydn/javian OFF TO THE RACES in wide open spaces in the fall of our lives at memorial stadium!!

morikawa is now 26 under par & one stroke behind hideki heading into tomorrow's match up on maui, staying in the moment & having FUN will be the key to a championship trophy, let's ******* go!!

after last season's new dad bod, max homa has noticeably cored out his body into a stronger/leaner version of +1 athleticism (homa no longer looks like an aggressive salesman with a gut at jimmy's used cars lot in valencia who watches the nba/mlb/nfl on his sofa while pounding brewskis in every non working moment)...max's 67 could've been a special low 60s round if not for multiple short missed birdie putts & a double crossed pulled drive into the jungle on the uphill drivable par 4 14th hole...homa is 14 under par & tied for 26th

taking the monster's advice & just hitting a stock 7 iron into the middle of the green of the par 3 8th hole resulted in a zero drama par after double bogey 5s each of the previous days as ben an shot a 69 & is tied for 36th...an hit arguably the most crooked azz drive in the history of pro golf today on the 1st hole as he hooked his drive into the rough on the right side of the par 5 9th hole, this is approximately 150+ yards from the center of the 1st fairway!!...it's possible ben is strategically tryna play the 1st hole from the 9th fairway in creating angles to far right pin positions on the 1st hole, let's see wut he does mañana

there's a lot to dance/celebrate about that's going on in the tropical paradise of hawaii right now, stay tuned baby in this endless summer of love
