econ & wifey, hunter barth & harrison taggart played at the same weight last season, 230 lbs (hunter is 6'2" & harrison is 6'1")...real talk: barth's physical testing #s are nfl level metrics kinda like teddye buchanan who wuz not a nfl prospect at uc davis
agreed harrison is also NOT a dumb azz, he had a 3.9 gpa at zion national park high school in utah which is a big rivals school to cade's arches national park high school
yeah unless the staff gets a firm commitment from taggert they are playing a high risk game in the inside backer room in berkeley with a really long fall to the bottom

Taggert is the number 1 rated middle linebacker in the Portal. He had a 10.69 in the 100 meters and rated a consensus 4 star recruit.. He played at 235 lbs last year, not 230 and is at least 1 inch less in height than Barth. As noted in the article, he is considered one of the most efficient tacklers in college football and he has massively productive as a redshirt Soph. He had 69 tackles despite missing playing time due to an injury. He has two seasons left. He was the top player (or second depending on which stats you look at) of a top 10 defense last year. He Is friends with Ulave where they grew up in Utah.
Transfer Portal Spotlight: LB Harrison Taggart is the best ...247Sportshttps://247sports.com article miami-hurricanes-foot...
As a redshirt senior, Barth started 3 games and played in two more games than Taggart . Barth had 38 tackles. While athletic, Barth is older, slower and less compact than Taggart. He also chose not to compete against Taggart, assuming Taggart picks Cal. I really don't blame Barth. He will get a grad degree from Furd, rather than a grad certificate from Cal. Think about that.
