if u do only 1 thing today, watch nyan's VIOLENT BLOCKS at the 3:30 (against texas, maybe shocky's favorite play in the history of cal football) & 5:00 marks in this video
burl & mike, this needs to become the gold standard for **** u up BLOCKING in ur rooms, rite?...r u starting ur game film reviews with pretty azz catches or props for game winning BLOCKS?...r u developing a room of apex predators on the football field?...have u made it clear to ur highly competitive rooms that future playing time will be contingent on VIOLENT downfield blocking?...why does ur head coach never mention BLOCKING in his blah blah blah press conferences?
BLOCKING wrs wins football games & gets u PAID in the nfl#
ac, 100%, can u recall even a single wr standout block from the 2024 season??
nyan boateng should be the standard for cal wideout BLOCKING!!
interesting fact: brooklyn native (wuz a heavily recruited hoops star) boateng later played in the nfl for the new york giants and new england patriots & then got arrested for running an long island identity theft ring & sentenced to 42 months in prison...today nyan appears to have turned his life around tho his fashion choices are dubious & not on point unless ur going to a halloween party dressed as a pimp
https://instagr.am/p/C6mU5FkMOH7 club pro guy tip: shocky likes to use the deep right hillside backboard on the slightly uphill par 4 18th hole at bel air to funnel the utility wood 2nd shot onto the green before heading over to erewhon for a 32 oz green juice/smoothie (that's why shocky got good gut health & poops like a race horse)!!
do u got abandonment issues (then find ur SAFE space/person)??#

how to **** up ur FUTURE: marcus scott ii will be transferring a 2nd time (1st time with a 3.3 gpa from missouri to cal) to now the university of central arkansas without earning a berkeley degree...u cannot make this **** up

do u got premium 91 (a berkeley, stanford of ivy league degree) in ur tank??#
MONSTER reader request: please review the above lists & offer updates/corrections re: academic profiles...if ur a bearent/player & want to stay low key, send me a private message or an email...dom arigato
the check in date for all players will be tuesday july 29th with fall camp practices starting later next week
will be very interesting to see the updated current weights for the entire offensive line room & also which former walk ons are now roster scholly players subject to the ncca maximum roster of 105 (college athletics including football will no longer have walk ons, all players on the roster will receive a scholly)
it's also possible there will be a player departure or two...
very disappointing that the 4.0 gpa aidan keenaaina got a very low fashion iq & is rocking the all black mortuary home look...brah, next time add a splash of color to balance out the death warmed over vibe...no, the monster is not interested in this week's special deals on refurbished coffins, ok?
jaron keawe sagapoltele with the classic black & white ensemble is probably the best of the bunch but that's not saying much among these motely crew misfits...jaron is not exactly throwing looks with his outfit that would also work for the assistant general manager at the kapalua resort but at least it's an upgrade from his way too busy campbell high school prom mix n' match tree disguise deal
devin brown opted for the light colored untrustworthy squirrelly as **** seersucker suit favored by the top salesmen at discount dave's used car dealership in apache junction that is currently facing 27 state & federal indictments for fraudulent & misleading sales practices...yeah it's the only place in the east valley u can buy a 2003 kia with mileage rolled back to 11,500 miles
cade uluave & coach wilcox made the unfortunate decision to let mrs bouza take advantage of the sears 2 for 1 fall discount on the bankrupt retailer's unsold blue plaid racing jacket inventory which are actually quite popular at bay meadows with 55+ year old chronic gamblers that have been divorced multiple times
**** me, why wuz shocky not consulted on these scary azz fashion choices, it kinda feels like the unilateral not well thought out longwell/cherrington/wilcox running off mateen bhaghani thing all over again, rite??
shocky is here to help, got it??...or at least ask vals for her fashionista curvy brunette yoga female opinion, ay caramba!!
short team meeting today cuz cade & justin wanna get back to sears before they close in order to get a full refund of their matchy matchy jackets, hopefully mrs bouza still got the receipt or something
summary: there are 113 (#15 kaden cook is listed twice) players currently listed in this 1st updated fall roster, the ncca roster size regulations stipulate that the roster must be reduced to no more than 105 players by the 1st game all of whom will be receiving fully schollys (the walk on designation is gone now)...yeah there's gonna be some tough personnel evaluation decisions on the horizon with cuts from the roster
interesting fact: washington's roster is currently at 87
roster foto of the century: khamani "cinco" hudson!!
cal's monster offensive line: the fall weights have NOT been updated (in the sec people would lose their jobs for this FAILURE to be on top of this roster ****)!!
former walk ons & matriculating freshmen include:
jojo geneva, 6'5" 290 lbs incoming freshman from powerhouse mater dei high school sam bjerke, 6'5" 330 lbs blueshirt sophomore from san diego's cathedral catholic high school ben howard, 6'5" 340 lbs (let's go!!) incoming freshman from lehi utah's skyridge high school michael klisiewicz, 6'6" 310 lbs (fantastic!!) from brentwood's liberty high school
former o-line walk on josh stovall from menifee is no longer with the program
honestly shocky couldn't give 2 ***** about which color combo unis the bears wear this season but as part of the cal's monster class attendance growth initiative team the monster is recommending new uniforms for the dance & cheer teams with mandatory PONYTAILS!!
the following are player's actual and shocky's TARGETED 315+ minimum weights for each offensive line room member after 2025 spring camp:
jordan spasojevic-moko, 6'5" 335 lbs (BEST o-line newcomer, needs to become more quick twitch +1 athletic!!) sioape vatikani, 6'4" 315 lbs (vats took a lotta plays off last season, new cored out body is lean!!) nick morrow, 6'8" 315 lbs (missed spring ball, at 6'8" needs to get to 330 lbs) frederick williams, 6'5" 300 lbs (banged up at the end of spring ball, needs to get to 315 lbs) braden miller, 6'6" 315 lbs (biggest surprise of spring running with 1s, needs to get to 320 lbs) bastian swinney, 6'6" 305 lbs (got pushed backwards last season, needs to get to 320 lbs) tyson ruffins, 6'2" 310 lbs (ran with the 1s this spring but got pushed backwards, need to get to 320 lbs) daveion harley, 6'1" 300 lbs (just signed, needs to get to 315 lbs) lajuan owens, 6'4" 355 lbs (physical mauler, needs to core out to 335 lbs) leon bell, 6'8" 315 lbs (got starting talent upside, at 6'8" needs to get to 330 lbs) lamar robinson, 6'3" 300 lbs (missed spring ball, needs to get to 315 lbs) akili calhoun, 6'4" 300 lbs (ran with the 2s, needs to get to 315 lbs) syris corley, 6'4" 330 lbs (needs to core out to 315 lbs) tyler knape, 6'4" 290 lbs (needs to get to 315 lbs) aiden newbill, 6'8" 290 lbs (at 6'8" needs to get to 330 lbs) justin hasenhuetl, 6'5" 270 lbs (schulzie's favorite german needs to get to 315 lbs)
cal's monster offensive line fall updates (and guys still need to keep eating their broccoli & tracking their daily protein grams):
jordan: 335 lbs, no change (hopefully more quick twitch +1 athletic, got the right bad azz attitude!!) sioape: 320 lbs, +5 lbs (body is PRIME, last chance to show out for the NFL, impose ur will brah!!) nick: 315 lbs, no change (gotta gain more mass coming off the injury, the +1 athlete is still too lean) frederick: 310 lbs, +10 lbs (close to the 315 lbs goal) braden: 315 lbs, no change (needs to add a couple more lbs to be an effective starter) bastian: 310 lbs, +5 lbs (needs to add a couple more lbs) tyson: 310 lbs, no change (the natural leader needs to add a couple more lbs) daveion: 305 lbs, +5 lbs (needs a MONSTER s&c fall camp in the s&c program, still too light to start) lajuan: 335 lbs, -20 lbs (congrats on coring out & achieving the monster target weight!!) leon: 330 lbs, +15 lbs (congrats on achieving the monster target weight!!) lamar: 305 lbs, +5 lbs (still needs to gain more mass) akili: 305 lbs, +5 lbs (still needs to gain more mass) syris: 310 lbs, -20 lbs (congrats on coring out, obviously ur moms is a GREAT cook!!) tyler: 295 lbs, +5 lbs (developmental mode, not gonna see the field) aiden: 290 lbs, no change (developmental mode, not gonna see the field) justin: 285 lbs, +15 lbs (gut sommerarbeit, developmental mode, not gonna see the field)
^ shocky toured the unreal big house this month when playing the university of michigan ann arbor mackenize course across the street as part of his cal bears pga coaching up duties at the rocket mortgage in detroit near joy road...look, the wolverines got good school colors (unlike low gpa ohio state) & way higher academic gpa standards than a truck stop ****hole with intermittent internet service like tornado central norman which gotta lotta oversized insects & dumb as **** ugly azz white lot lizards wearing chipped ross dress for less cfm pumps with untreatable stds or something
yeah jaydn is gonna do a gofundme for his penicillin bills & ott is only one more violent hit/career ending injury behind a mediocre at best okie offensive line from finding out that nobody wants to give him FREE money anymore...yeah **** is gonna get real then
this is just like berkeley drop out mckade mattauer all over again whose now digging ditches in the real world with a worthless oklahoma degree...wut guys like ott & mattauer fail to realize is that oklahoma players at the end of the day are really just low gpa disposable gladiators with less than 1% of them getting paid in the nfl unlike cal, stanford & ivy league grads that are preparing themselves thru academic/intellectual ambition for building generational wealth...yeah the sooners players care about football, they got no other future as they are being exploited at a football factory while chasing an elusive nfl dream with no safety net when they fall off the bar (don't hear their names on draft day)
lost all respect for the ungrateful & unlikeable ott when he defended fernando "caca" mendoza (whose dad is a piece of work) quitting on his team before the smu game & maliciously tryna derail the jaron recruitment, **** both of them guys
but that's just the monster's humble opinion, benny & flounder, and we're on the same page when it comes to that big 10 vs sec battle!!
**** jaydn ott (while acknowledging that he earned a berkeley degree, props for that)#
last year it wuz painfully obvious that all aspects of the special teams wuz not cohesively functioning at a high level from most noticeably the kicking game (snaps, placement of the ball, the blocking & the MISSED KICKS) but also the abject failure to return any punts for significant gains during an entire season and also numerous coverage assignment breakdowns (la bowl wuz embarazzing)
so it's surprising to hear coach wilcox say he gonna keep all 113 current roster players (the ncca is grandfathering in players to the new 105 player max to avoid cuts) & is running both blue and gold practices to accommodate so many players...are special teams not gonna be prepared again which has been the case during the entire wilcox era??
why not just run a much smaller & more financially cost effective roster without giving reps to guys who will never play a single down during their college football careers??
washington's current roster is 87 players
is cal gonna run a jv team too in the acc this season that requires those on the 4 deep to get valuable practice reps??

Yeah, Ott graduated from Cal. He is a Cal alum. He could have left after 2023 for a lot of money when he lead the Pac-12 in rushing, but he stayed for his degree and got ZERO pitchouts last year as Bloesch repeatedly, predictably, ran him inside into an onrushing wall of defenders, risking his health. Then Harsin came in preaching the same.
There is a reason the ENTIRE RB room departed. And all our WRs. And Endries. There is a reason a warrior like Matt Bradley eventually had enough of Mark Fox. But sure, sh*t on a great Cal player instead of blaming the coaching staff that took an offense filled with 4 star talent and a defense with pro DBs and LBs and finished tied for second to last in an 18 team conference whike destroying Ott's draft value.
If he had another year like he had in Spavital's 2023 offense, I am sure he would have taken his Cal degree and entered the draft instead of the Portal. 100% And everyone would be singing his praises.

Ott had to leave just to have a chance at being drafted, we completely shot his draft stock in 2024 and for him to stay as long as he did was remarkable.
stykur, got no problem with ott & endries earning their berkeley degrees & then collecting paychecks...the difference is that jack's handled the transition to texas in a classy manner & is remembered as a true california golden bear (which could open some key doors for him later in life) unlike jaydn (isolating himself on an island without a lotta valuable cali biz connections he might need someday) who has now intentionally tarnished his reputation with his former teammates/staff & alums like lance cooper, randy scott & kevin kennedy who generously paid him millions for his skillz in berkeley in a pretty low rent move that paints himself as an unlikeable & ungrateful *****
none of the above don't absolve wilcox of not intervening in bloesch's beyond ******* bad predictable play calling which dangerously jeopardized the health of both ott & the jet last fall and to be honest with u if rolo/harsin don't dial up PITCHOUTS very early in the 2025 season cal's monster class is gonna drop the curtain on broadway & move on too
calalum, u don't wanna hear this but even tho shocky respects ur passion/opinions, the cal football program is gonna be better off without burl who we both are in agreement is a very good person
as someone who lives further afar on an island in the middle of the pacific ocean with a curvy brunette yoga female berkeley grad & therefore can only watch cal football on tv streams (whose cameras follows the ball not the blocking schemes) ur not aware of the FAILED blocking by the bears wide receiver room last season as someone like myself who watched every second of last season in person & could focus on the non existent wr blocking
the cal's wr room wuz not only undersized but also lacked the physical mentality/accountability to impose their will physically which wuz magnified by the predictable play calling...toler is a tremendous recruiter but a very poor developer of talent, there's a reason that none of his wrs throughout the years has ever been drafted (unless they transferred out) by the national football league which spends millions in identifying apex predators at virtually every position
but let's agree to not argue about this, it's all water under the bridge now & let's revisit the toler impact after the 2025 college season which the monster is predicting will result in abysmal ucla rushing stats in large part due to non existent non physical wideout blocking...the 1st time this season that bruins starter mikey matthews (who is a ray of sunshine off the field) blocks someone this season will be a 1st in his college career
Nobody likes to hear it, but the comments from former players (post-Tedford) are revealing of how Cal has managed business around its football program in the last decade or so: cheaply, and with minimal support to the players as compared to other power programs. The evidence seems very clear. Hopefully the new Rivera/Lyons era will change that.
Basically: you might not like what Ott had to say, but he's probably not wrong. Thanks to people like Sebastabear for trying to fill that void from the outside, but the problem has always been internal to Cal as an institution.

namaste brah
The program has to come first. Burl is a great person. It is unfortunate that it did not work out for him here. But just being a good man (and Cal man from a Cal family) should not guarantee employment. Burl was a good recruiter but his group did not perform as hoped.
The team needed change. I wanted it to start with Wilcox but it did not happen that way. So Cal is moving forward with a nearly complete new staff on offense. I like the new staff on paper. Harsin needed guys he was comfortable with. WR blocking was poor. Has been really for several years now.
Performance has to matter. Great guy or not. That group did not perform and really has had but one good season with Toler running the room.
Today I spoke with WR Jayden Dixon-Veal following Day 2 of Fall Camp. Jayden is a grad transfer from Purdue who is excited to continue his education here at Berkeley and win an ACC championship! #GoBearspic.twitter.com/7yqXbypgmO
listen to wideout jayden dixon-veal's comment at the 1 minute 15 second mark, this is a TRANSFORMATIONAL paradigm shift statement re: the bears current wide receiver room mindset!!
yeah coach toler is a good guy but never placed an emphasis upon wr BLOCKING
somewhere on long island bad azz nyan boateng is ******* smiling at this

this is just like berkeley drop out mckade mattauer all over again whose now digging ditches in the real world with a worthless oklahoma degree...wut guys like ott & mattauer fail to realize is that oklahoma players at the end of the day are really just low gpa disposable gladiators with 1% of them getting paid in the nfl unlike cal, stanford & ivy league grads that are preparing themselves thru academic/intellectual ambition for building generational wealth...yeah the sooners players care about football, they got no other future as they are being exploited at a football factory while chasing an elusive nfl dream with no safety net when they fall off the bar (don't hear their names on draft day)
lost all respect for the ungrateful & unlikeable ott when he defended fernando "caca" mendoza (whose dad is a piece of work) quitting on his team before the smu game & maliciously tryna derail the jaron recruitment, **** both of them guys
but that's just the monster's humble opinion, benny & flounder, and we're on the same page when it comes to that big 10 vs sec battle!!
**** jaydn ott (while acknowledging that he earned a berkeley degree, props for that)#
If he had another year like he had in Spavital's 2023 offense, I am sure he would have taken his Cal degree and entered the draft instead of the Portal. 100% And everyone would be singing his praises.
Ott had to leave just to have a chance at being drafted, we completely shot his draft stock in 2024 and for him to stay as long as he did was remarkable.
He DID get a Cal degree, and left as a grad transfer. So there is that.
calalum, u don't wanna hear this but even tho shocky respects ur passion/opinions the cal football program is gonna be better off without burl who we both are in agreement is a very good person
as someone who lives further afar in the middle on an island in the middle of the pacific ocean with a curvy brunette yoga berkeley grad & therefore can only watch cal football on tv streams (whose cameras follows the ball not the blocking schemes) ur not aware of the FAILED blocking by the bears wide receiver room last season as someone like myself who watched every second of last season in person & could focus on the non existent wr blocking
the cal's wr room wuz not only undersized but also lacked the physical mentality/accountability to impose their will physically which wuz magnified by the predictable play calling...toler is a tremendous recruiter but a very poor developer of talent, there's a reason that none of his wrs throughout the years has ever been drafted (unless they transferred out) by the national football league which spends millions in identifying apex predators at virtually every position
but let's agree to not argue about this, it's all water under the bridge now & let's revisit the toler impact after the 2025 college season which the monster is predicting will result in abysmal ucla rushing stats in large part due to non existent non physical wideout blocking...the 1st time this season that bruins starter mikey matthews (who is a ray of sunshine off the field) blocks someone this season will be a 1st in his college career
namaste brah
Same for AT. Great guy. Great in the community, but zero (0) results (in terms of sending rbs to the NFL) - for his entire career - both 'at' Cal, and before Cal. Ott got to Cal with great talent and high expectations. Had an excellent freshman season (1st half of the season particularly), and had his best season with Spav coaching up the offense. Under AT, he injured his ankle and then got progressively worse, until he left. Jet seemed to get better (600 yds rushing last season) but that was AT's greatest accomplishment as Cal's rb coach. "Great guy", though. Like Burl.
pitts, agree with ur comparison of at & burl, great fathers/human beings but suboptimal developers of football talent as evidenced by both never getting a player drafted in the nfl that didn't transfer out...it wuz coaching malpractice that at didn't protect his rbs from bloesch's predictable & dangerous repetitive playcalling without PITCHOUTS...and wuz kinda disappointed that a bitter aristotle would come back for cal pro day at memorial stadium & encourage the running back room to transfer out but wish him well at northwestern
2025 wyndham championship in north carolina: 1st round update
max homa (66, tied for 19th): 3rd in the field in ball striking but near the bottom of the field in putting (an abysmal 44 feet in putts made, average putt made less than two and a half feet, no es bueno)
max, the GOOD NEWS is that shocky knows exactly wut's ur putting problem...noticed this in tahoe last weekend but ur last look before putting is at the hole and not the putting line...today on the 4th hole from 15 feet on the fringe with a wild azz donald ross green contour with 5 feet of slope from left to right ur last look wuz at the hole instead of 5 feet left which resulted in arguably ur worst putt of the entire season 5 feet right of the hole with lousy pace..u then missed the short comebacker for a 3 jack bogey
shocky is promising u max that if u will take a couple of minutes tomorrow on the putting green (or in ur hotel room carpet tonite when reading this monster advice) & work on taking ur last look at the intended putting line (and not the hole) then ur probably gonna shoot in the low 60s tomorrow, got it??...and if that happens u better publicly & profusely acknowledge my invaluable (and FREE) club pro guy advice/mentoring to the golf channel & **** bro!!
michael kim (66, tied for 19th): michael's putting stroke is as pure as anybody on the ******* pga tour!!...kim rolled in 92 feet of putts & hit 15 outta 18 greens in regulation...just a sloppy azz double bogey 6 on the downhill par 4 18th hole prevented this from being a special round...get ur chipotle tonite michael & let's roll manana!!
Not sure if this is a surprise or not… but I’ve never had a sip of alcohol on the golf course
ben an (68, tied for 64th): gutty round today despite missing 10 outta 14 fairways off the tee usually with long irons & fairway woods...ben gotta make the cut tomorrow to put himself in position over the weekend to advance to next week's fed ex st jude tournament in memphis which is a big playing field that suits an's power game
No putter needed 💪
Byeong Hun An gets back-to-back birdies @WyndhamChamp.
econ, trevor rogers fom caldecott tunnel high school (and a long lineage of berkeley grads that bleed blue & gold and not orange) is not only track SPEED fast as **** but now he's now also built like a bad azz that can violently block on the edges thereby creating gaps in the running game while still remarkably looking kinda like a much higher gpa version of carrot top!!
somewhere on planet earth there's a curvy brunette yoga female from an academically mediocre school that will someday think 3.5 gpa trevor's carrot top hair is attractive or something...
