Thanks to Knowlton, if we fire Wilcox after this season it would cost $20 million. And this with Knowlton already borrowing $20 million a year and about to take a $20 million (?) revenue decrease with an increase in travel expenses.

Credit where credit is due - the Bear neither quit nor died. I'll take the win, but the offense is a work in progress.

Surprised we won. SJ5 Is not the dynamic quarterback that we were hoping for though it is nice to see him occasionally get chunks with his legs. Playcalling certainly seems questionable at times but it is nice to score more points than we did last year. The repeated running up the middle often feels like the coaches see a different game than what's actually taking place.

Gonna be a difficult season to reach a bowl based upon how things look. Just another version of Wilcox football.

It's the typical Wilcox playbook for the patsy game at home. We come out of the gates playing a vanilla scheme and with low energy. Time to stop being surprised about it.

Usually we wind up getting our s*** together enough to win. Sometimes we drop one to Nevada.

Now in fairness to Idaho, they do appear to be a legitimately good FCS team this year.

He shows flashes of the big play ability, both with his arm and his legs, but he seems incapable of doing the intermediate timing routes. Its a tough trade-off between consistent intermediate plays with no hope of the big play, versus struggling with the intermediate but having a big play ability.
