Well we only beat two teams over .500 in Idaho and UCLA.Gkhoury2325 said:

True. Though if we'd played Coastal Carolina instead of Auburn (as UCLA did in having a B-B-C OOC schedule versus our A-B-C schedule), we'd be 7-5 too. Oh well, at the end of the day, the only difference is whether one is selected for the Bad Boy Mowers Mac and Cheese Bowl or the Rob Gronkowski Potato Bowl.StillNoStanfurdium said:Well we only beat two teams over .500 in Idaho and UCLA.Gkhoury2325 said:

No, they beat two teams over .500, USC and Coastal Carolina. Coastal Carolina is 7-5 and unlike Idaho is FBS.Gkhoury2325 said:

We are 9-3 with their schedule.kal kommie said:No, they beat two teams over .500, USC and Coastal Carolina. Coastal Carolina is 7-5 and unlike Idaho is FBS.Gkhoury2325 said:

You seem to be implying that Ucla didn't play a FCS team. If so, check again.kal kommie said:No, they beat two teams over .500, USC and Coastal Carolina. Coastal Carolina is 7-5 and unlike Idaho is FBS.Gkhoury2325 said:

Maybe so, but what does that have to do with Gkhoury2325's misstatement of fact?Strykur said:We are 9-3 with their schedule.kal kommie said:No, they beat two teams over .500, USC and Coastal Carolina. Coastal Carolina is 7-5 and unlike Idaho is FBS.Gkhoury2325 said:

I didn't imply that at all. You inferred something that isn't there.WalterSobchak said:You seem to be implying that Ucla didn't play a FCS team. Why did you compare Idaho to Coastal and not NC Central?kal kommie said:I didn't imply that at all. Because Gkhoury2325 said UCLA only beat one team over .500 and I thought Idaho and Coastal Carolina were the other wins over plus .500 teams for us and UCLA respectively.WalterSobchak said:Why did you compare Idaho to Coastal and not NC Central?kal kommie said:I didn't imply that at all. Ok. It was confusing bc you specifically referenced Idaho's FCS status when comparing them to FBS Coastal even though Ucla also beat FCS NC Central. I think but can't be sure that Gk may have read my prior accurate post that Ucla only beat one P5 team over .500 (same as Cal, except ours was the head-to-head with Ucla) and just was imprecise when reposting the info.kal kommie said:Because Gkhoury2325 said UCLA only beat one team over .500 and I thought Idaho and Coastal Carolina were the other wins over plus .500 teams for us and UCLA respectively.WalterSobchak said:Why did you compare Idaho to Coastal and not NC Central?kal kommie said:I didn't imply that at all. In fact I didn't realize until now that NC Central is over .500 as well. So UCLA has actually beaten three teams above .500, making the original claim even more mistaken.
Would we have beaten ourselves?Strykur said:We are 9-3 with their schedule.kal kommie said:No, they beat two teams over .500, USC and Coastal Carolina. Coastal Carolina is 7-5 and unlike Idaho is FBS.Gkhoury2325 said:

Ah, I see. I referenced Idaho's FCS status because it is not uncommon to see fans of FBS teams occasionally separate wins over FCS teams, so the mistaken statement that they only beat one plus .500 team seemed more glaring since in actuality we only beat one plus .500 FBS team while they beat two.WalterSobchak said:Ok. Because the lazy person who updates the pac12 webserver sorted by overall record instead of the (correct) head-to-head. Lazy programming.oskidunker said:
Just curious how tbe pac12 arrived at the final standings. Tie breaker is supposed to be head to head.

I think we're really just considered as tied at 4-5. Tie breakers would apply only in certain situations which I don't think will apply to us.
For what it's worth, ESPN has us ahead of UCLA in their standings. https://www.espn.com/college-football/standings/_/group/9

LOL, sure. You're hilarious. Please keep not defending Ucla, your bitterness is my cherry on top.philly1121 said:Dang the revisionists are out in force! 7 wins. LOL. Cal had a 7 win FLOOR with Ucla's schedule. Only question marks are whether they would beat UA to get to 8 and USC after they quit to get to 9. Saying 7 "At.The.Most" like a total clown is what made me laugh.philly1121 said:WalterSobchak said:LOL, sure. You're hilarious. You again? This is the reason why I don't normally respond to you because your takes are shyte, your analysis is biased and most of the time you write like you're sped. Again - tell me where these 9 wins from uclas svhedule come from. Rather than the ******y remarks - show me you actually know something except being a face painting homer.
Do we play the teams at the same time that UCLA played them?philly1121 said:WalterSobchak said:LOL, sure. You're hilarious. It's because they use as a tiebreaker the quality and class of the institutions (either that, or they go by alphabetic order.)
