I mean to be fair they were a top 5 running offense in the league this year (passing too) and the Niners were bottom 5 at defending runs outside the tackles

That is why I am not a football analyst. I viewed their O as primarily Goff based.

Purdy can't bring them down from a big hole, and Goff is going to finish them off as they key on the run.

So far Goff has played within his limits, hitting narrow windows up the middle and letting Laporta and St Brown do the job.

I mean, when you're down you need the defense to get stops to have a prayer at coming back. I don't see that happening.

4.36 speed there.

Happy for Goff, but Shanahan has to be on the hot seat and Steve Wilks has to go. Just too much talent on this 49er team to get manhandled like they did in the 1st half.
