I noticed last night that I now get ACC network on my Frontier account. I do not know if permanent or not.

I can't speak for everyone but I know that for me personally, on comcast, my PAC-12 network was automatically replaced with the ACC Network a couple months ago. It was kind of cool because I got the ACC camp visit and preview for our season and it was significantly better, more in depth, and more complimentary than the P12 networks ever was. Not that Yogi and Roxy were bad, just that the coverage really dove into top players and hyped up the potential. They seemed to do way more homework on the team than the P13 coverage and it was reflected in the broadcast

I have Xfinity and had the package to get the pac-12 network. I don't get the acc network. Do you happen to know what plan you have?

ACC network inclusion on Comcast's basic package is geographically dependent. So it depends on where you live and the answer young at from somewhere else depends on where they live.

For Comcast in Colorado, the ACCN is in the preferred package (so is ESPNU), but not in the Sports Package. I believe it's the opposite for BTN, which is extremely annoying for a CFB fan in general.

ACCN should be on basic cable anywhere in the Bay Area, but the ESPN carriage contract might be different from the p12 carriage contract for other Northern California locations. If one is outside NorCal, I would guess the ACCN would be on the Comcast preferred package.

Sacramento is a big question mark actually - the Bay Area RSNs all include Sac, but that doesn't mean ESPN/Comcast have the same agreement.

There was a thread awhile back that said Comcast bills in the bay area had a message that the p12 net was going away and the ACCN was being added Aug 22.

Look at your latest bill from Xfinity. Where it lists changes on the left, one of them should say when the ACC Network will be added, most likely 8/22. I am checking each day to see if it will be added early.

Xfinity's carriage of the BTN also sucks. They don't have the overflow channels and don't show it in HD.

So I looked at my August statement and there was nothing. I went back to July and saw this note:

"Additional information
TV Update: Effective June 30, 2024, Pac-12 Networks are ceasing operations and will no longer be available. As a result of this change, the Regional Sports Network fee will decrease from $18.75 to $17.50 per month."

That's it. Nothing about ACCN. Also, dropping PAC12N only saves me a buck 25?!? I have been paying 17.50 a month extra all this time for God knows what. What regional sports network is there?! Lol

I will recommend at this point that most folks still carrying Xfinity cable should make the switch over to streaming with YouTube TV or Hulu with Live TV. You'll get all the sports channels you need (including ACC Network), and it's cheaper than Comcast (better picture quality too).

Others have already answered better than I could. But yea, P12 network on Comcast was already converted to ACC network in Oakland where I live. I have just one of the basic packages and nothing special but I'm not sure specifically which package it is

I just noticed that my Comcast Infinity account (in Oakland) carries the ACCN ACC Network on channel 826
I have never noticed this before so I don't know much more than it is currently on my XFINITY Channel 826 right now broadcasting Clemson's 1981 season.

Last year my account covered the PAC12 channel. I did not make any changes to my account

Check it out for yourself

Dump xfinity and stream YouTubeTV. Unlimited DVR rcords everything you tell it to and saves for 9 months. Auto records everything. ACC Network is included.

I just scrolled through the channel's shows and hit Record on a bunch of their stuff so I can see the Cal portions.

I note Cal is in 3 days on "ACC Football Road Trip" show. So is Stanford.

Hard to believe we are in a league with:

Here is a list of ACC schools reordered by when they joined the conference, from oldest to newest:

1. Clemson (1953)
2. Duke (1953)
3. North Carolina (1953)
4. NC State (1953)
5. Wake Forest (1953)
6. Virginia (1953)
7. Georgia Tech (1979)
8. Florida State (1991)
9. Boston College (2005)
10. Miami (2004)
11. Virginia Tech (2004)
12. Louisville (2014)
13. Notre Dame (2013, non-football)
14. Pittsburgh (2013)
15. Syracuse (2013)
16. Stanford (2024)
17. Cal (2024)
18. SMU (2024)

Only better picture if your internet connection is good enough for it.

Hulu has no unlimited dvr, as I understand, and the unlimited dvr is the best feature imaginable.

Xfinity (Comcast) in the southbay had two channels ... on standard def, and one HD

how about ACCN?

True, I am thinking most of us are near the Bay Area where the internet connection is generally good.

Hulu's site says they do have unlimited DVR. YouTube TV has it too.

Aha!
I knew it was a matter of time.
The competition creates better products at better pricing. Now I can compare.

https://help.hulu.com/article/hulu-how-much-does-hulu-cost

At first blush, YouTubeTV is a bit cheaper. And after reading this, no way I'm switching to Hulu.

https://www.tomsguide.com/face-off/youtube-tv-vs-hulu-live-tv

That page does have one error, it said YouTubeTV doesn't have ACC Network. It does.

And YouTubeTV allows 3 streams. I share the account with my brother in Walnut Creek, while I'm in the Sacramento market. And I get SF channels because I trick my location. I imagine anyone can do so with a VPN, but that's another story.

ExPats missing home TV, anyone?

Theoretically you should be able to get ACCNx now too. Just log into the ESPN website (or app) using your Xfinity credentials and you should be able to view that content.

I've been getting ACCNx since midmorning now. I think it was just a delay in Xfinity getting things setup. I watched the Cal Road Trip on replay. Earlier this morning the Cal Media Day was on replay, but it isn't now. I also have ESPN+, so I am good unless something is on ESPNU.

I am curious if people in the Sacramento area get ACC Network in their package now with Xfinity.

Per this, looks like all of NorCal is considered part of the ACC "in market" territory now, so I expect Sacramento will get the network too.

You can use your Xfinity account login to get it via ESPN's website.

Yes you can get ACCN Extra on Xfinity, and I can get it now. I assume you know how to access apps on Xfinity. Just scroll down a few rows for the sports apps. The second icon in the sports row is ESPN. You may need to log into ESPN+ if you have that, but the other ESPN channels should be included automatically for which you are paying.

I'll again leave my recommendation that people move to YouTubeTV or Hulu + Live TV, now that Pac-12 Network is no longer a concern. All the ESPN channels (including ESPNU and ACC Network) are on the standard tier. The Hulu package even comes with ESPN+ (though you don't really need this).

In some places this can be bad if you also want your local regional sports networks (no Bally Sports, etc.). But in Northern California, you're good: the NBC Sports networks are carried on YouTube and Hulu.

If you're not an nhl or nba fan, per se, Hulu + live tv is an invredible value with all of the turner tbs tnt and ESPN and fox sports channels, plus big10 and acc and sec networks and local channels. It comes with Disney plus with ads and ESPN plus with ads and it's $77 per month, plus you get a big credit if you use an Amex blue cash preferred or platinum card and register for that benefit, of at least $7/mo rebate. It's my plan for this season. No regional sports network but I love on the east coast and do giants games with mlb.tv

Oh yeah, I should mention that as a downside. Hulu doesn't have NBA TV. YouTube doesn't have MLB Network. Neither has NHL Network. For me, I went with YouTube, as MLB Network doesn't actually show any playoff games anymore. NBA TV still does, I believe, so it's something to watch out for. I don't care that much about the regular season coverage or about hockey. I think you can supplement this stuff by just paying for extra NBA or MLB coverage via their own apps.
